It is oily on application but that’s what makes it so effective.I just wish everything in life were as effective and reliable as B & W ointment.

I am so grateful someone told me about this ointment. I had a two inch third degree burn on my arm that didn't hurt at all until two days later when, I assume the nerves started growing back. At first I applied thick aloe leaves with an ace bandage keeping them in place. After the pain set in , I started using this ointment. Not only did the pain cease for hours after the application, but the healing was rapid. Within 5 weeks, I went from a disgusting open wound to only a medium pink scar. It was pitted at first, but not you have to really look to notice it. I have just started using this on my 10 year old son's eczema. It is the only ointment that takes away his redness and pain.
