Excellent for Gigging
Really pleasantly surprised. I had a gig with our jam band in two days, and I realized I needed another music stand quick. Most were 40-50 bucks, but this one came in substantially cheaper (like half) with thousands of great reviews. I threw the dice not expecting much but it works like a charm! Used it this morning. Very light, but sturdy. Comes apart and can pack away in a case (included). Clips to hold your music in place. I was quite pleased, and I highly recommend it. I don't think you'll beat it for the money. And you sure wont beat it for the convenience and ease of use.

Case is nice bonus to good cheap stand
Hey it''s about 20 bucks so you really can't complain about anything, this is functional and comes with a nice carrying case and even a music page binder. For the money, for a stand, this will do the job of a music stand and make you happy. Don't expect the big heavy solid all-metal stands on a symphony orchestra, it doesn't cost like a professional stand would, not even close. But it is full size and reasonably solid. Good base won't tip over. The clips on the stand are a nice touch and the move out of the way if not needed, and the squeezy-clip for the top is another little bonus. Stand looks good. So for what you get this is a great deal.

Terrific seller! Product has an Achilles heel.
Achilles was the mightiest warrior on either side in the Greek-Trojan war. He was invulnerable except in the area of his heel, which eventually proved his undoing. Will this stand hold up? Perhaps--but not if you're a musician who moves from place to place and who, moreover, tends to be a little rough or impatient with setting up the stand. My 5-star rating is for the seller (Kasonic), who immediately replaced my broken stand, no questions asked, no red tape to untangle. But before purchasing this, or a similar tripod stand, check out one small detail. It's the "triple-outlet housing," which slides up and down the central pole for assembly or mere adjustment of heights. It's one of the stand's most critical pieces because if one of the outlets fails to hold, its tripod arm is rendered useless and the entire stand falls flat on the floor. This is a fairly heavy-weight metal stand, as claimed, except for that one vital piece. It's a plastic housing with 3 outlets, each offering little in the way of support where a rivet attaches the leg to its channel. It broke during its 3rd use by my French hornist-colleague, who was merely adjusting the height of the stand.Perhaps my 1st stand was the exception, one with a weaker-than-normal 3-outlet housing. After owning a dozen alternatives to the sturdy but clumsy Manhassett, I had trusted the description and ratings for this product. Check to make sure the other 5-star positive reviews are from musicians who have used the stand repeatedly and for more than a month or 2. A similar stand is being sold by numerous, different sellers. If you decide to purchase, I certainly recommend buying it from this seller (Kasonic). But don't write a review immediately after setting up the stand. Instead, use the stand frequently throughout the first month (perhaps a motivator to practice more regularly) before submitting a review. And, if you're unhappy, be sure to use Amazon's convenient link for notifying the seller.

Sturdy and foldable, but heavy
Much sturdier than other ones I've used in my over 75 years of needing one. Completely adjustable for height and tilt, fastens with knobs, and heavier than others. Maybe a little too complex & heavy for children to carry around and reassemble for use in more than one place. The only thing I don't like is the little arms used to secure the bottom of music sheets against the flat part. They're more of a nuisance if trying to turn the paper in a multi sheet score, imho..

I use this stand for performing my special at church, and for random playing anywhere else
I needed a good stand to help me in time of need. I purchased this stand and am very satisfied with it. It is sturdy, hangs things tightly. It doesn't bounce around or slides in itself. You can tighten it to your liking, raise it, lower it, and I like that it comes with a clip to hang on top if you have large paper sheet music you wish to use. The carrying case is a plus. You can easily disassemble and reassemble with ease. In less than 2 minutes you are setup and ready to go. As a violin player, this comes in handy when you arrive in the nick of time and need to setup immediately. I recommend you get this if you are looking for a new stand.

Just right
I like that it was very easy to put together and to adjust to the right height. It also is very sturdy and I had been worried that it’ll be kind of flimsy But it’s not. Would recommend it to others. And also it is lightweight.

Perfect!
Bought a cheapo one previously that fully collapses, and it was not even worth the $12 I paid for it. Sent it back and decided to go with this one. SO glad I did! It’s so sturdy and exactly what I was looking for. It collapses as well. Obviously not as small as the accordion type ones, but those are just not sturdy. This one is the best of both worlds. Gets small enough to be out of the way, but is perfectly reliable!

I am handicapped but I play at nursing homes. I am very pleased with it.
Very light weight and easy to use. Easy to adjust and set up. Holds my heavy music book with 14 songs in it.
