Shards of Frost: The Mercury Pack Series, Book 5

‘Shards of frost’ is the last book in ‘The Mercury pack’ series. I have enjoyed both series (The Phoenix pack series & The Mercury pack series ) of this writer Suzanne Wright very much!! The stories are funny, a bit emotional, steamy and very entertaining. This book ‘Shards of frost’ is a great addition to it.The story is again told from both POV’s. Both characters, Eli and Casey have a strong and dominant personality but they also respect that in the other. Yes, Eli, like all the other dominant wolf shifters in this series, tries to get his own way in every situation but Casey is intelligent enough to see through his tricks and she can certainly hold her own. She and her animal are ruthless and deadly in a fight.From the first glance Eli and Casey know that they are true mates and they have no problems to merge their separate lives together. It all feels very natural to them and their animals. It’s very wonderful to see. Eli and Casey also have a lot in common, both are loyal to their packs and the people they love, they are caring (in their own way), intelligent, sporty and they love to fight and both are enforcers too for their pack.One of the things that I love about these shapeshifter stories is that the writer loves nothing more than to add a new and very interesting shifter kind to the mix. And this time and in this book the writer did it again. I had so much fun with these (new) shifters, I certainly laughed a few times out loud. Because I could so picture some scenes in my mind. I’m still smiling when I think of it! The fact that Casey was a soccer player also created some entertaining times in the story. It was wonderful to see all the other characters again of both the Mercury and the Phoenix pack. And the epilogue at the end was just fantastic, to see how everyone was doing 8 years later. The perfect ‘ending’ of this series. I’m so happy that although these two shapeshifters series have come to an end, there is already a new series (The Olympus pride) to discover and explore and that is just what I will do next.

Shock and awe to have so much going on and yet not so much. Yes, there’s a bill to climb and a battle that must be fought. At the same time it’s not as bad and as deadly as it has been in the past. Which is sooooo good for this book. Finding out so many answers as well to curious questions and earning how the pack grew over time as well as connections growing over time. Amazing end!

This was a rare one where there was absolutely no resistance to the mate bond that this series is known for. I actually really liked how immediately accepting they both were.Eli and Casey seemed to understand that there was no reason not to trust their true mates, even though they knew very, little about each other. Because of this, this had my favorite kind of relationship where there was little drama between the couple. Instead Eli and Casey worked together to face outside drama coming at them. It's very refreshing to read.Eli is a dominant wolf shifter who was very protective and possessive without overshadowing Casey's dominance as a female wolf shifter. Casey was also very understanding of his need to protect her even with how strong and capable she was. She held her own but she also didn't reject his protectiveness.The ending was super sweet with the glimpse the author gave us of their future. I am a little disappointed that we won't be getting Cain's story. He was an intriguing side character, but I was also happy to see a glimpse into his future as well. Great series!

I absolutely hate that this series has concluded, but all good things must end. This book is a action-packed as all Suzanne Wright's shifter-series. Getting to know Eli on an individual basis is enlightening. Casey, Eli's mate is a BEAST! No hot house flower here. The girl can handle her business and clean your clock at the same time. I definitely recommend this book!It is filled with all the characters from the series, plus a few from the Phoenix series, of course. AND there is a surprise ending for CAIN! Yea! I wondered about Cain, because the author wrote on her webpage that she would not be writing a story about him due to his extreme darkness, but she totally makes up for that in this book. So, not to distract from Eli and his story, the author seamlessly works in other characters and puts her readers minds at ease as to what happens to them. You will love, love, love this one. Plus, there is a fast-forward eight year conclusion. READ the BooK!! And be sure to get "When He Is Dark" the next shifter-series about the palace cats and the wolverines. Book one is Alex's story. You will be familiar with the characters because you have already met many of them through Madison.READ THE BOOK!

I absolutely love this series! Another dose of fun l, addictive story line that you can not put down. Thank you for the smiles!

Eli and Casey are mates, and they figure that out from their first meeting, mate and begin to forge their lives together. If only she didn’t have a drug dealer in her face, a former friend trying to harm her, a brother she can’t locate and a championship to win. So much going on at once and yet, she is not alone. She’s got her mate to help her get through all of this on their way to happily ever after.Loved the story..a few things I enjoyed..Eli is a freak. Sure, he’s a dominant wolf, with great with dirty talk, but he’s upped his game and his stamina when it comes to his mate. Wow!Casey is so quirky with her inability to avoid sexual innuendos.We get to learn more about Cain which is awesome.We find out that mink are little psychopaths who are cute and cuddly. Can you see why she and Madisyn like each other?Loved the brief glimpse into the future and the gaggle of kids born into the pack.Overall, it was a great book and end to a great series. I have no doubt that Suzanne will continue to bring us more awesome stories with hot men and women with strange habits, bad enemies, and interfering friends and family. I look forward to the new adventure.

Adore how Suzanne Wright brings her characters to light, the humour is outstanding! I am absolutely gutted that I have finished both series, I never want them to end!

Eli has been crowing in guilt for years, plus everybody have mates except him. Everything changes when he sees Casey and know she is his true mate, something he thought would happen. Loved this book.

I love this conclusion to the Mercury pack, I’ve been jonesing for Eli’s story but I had no idea how fantastic his true mate would end up being. Casey is absolutely perfection in a fiery package. Perfect.

I loved all the books of The Mercury Pack Series and it was amazing as others. I loved the beautiful Epilogue but it feels like I lost them all I mean now I won't be able to read anything on Mercury or Phoenix Pack. I feel hollow inside if you know what I mean.

I would've liked to read a story for willow and kye.... And of course the story of Cassidy and Cain. I wish the author thought about writing these additional stories.
