Beefs up the sound!
Replaced stock tube in my Vox ac4tv amp. Didn’t know if it would help, amp had sounded very thin and kinda raspy. After a few hrs of burn in, it sounded like a different amp, more bass, rasp was gone. Well worth the small cost to get a useable sound. Run the amp into a home built cab with a 12” alnico blue and its the sound I was trying to get

Great Tube Replacement For My Vox AC4C1
When I usually need a new tube I will go on eBay and purchase an old used one that tests good. You can get a great tube like RCA or Sylvania for the same price as a new one and they sound better and they are already burnt in. When the RCA went out on my Vox and I didn’t want to have to wait I decided to try a reissue Mullard off Amazon. I’ve always been skeptical of all of these reissue tubes because they are all made in the same factories in Russia and I’m sure they sound nothing like original Mullards but after having a groove tube substituted I was glad to put anything else in there. I was very pleasantly surprised by this tube. First off since my amp is a single ended class A amp there was no biasing needed. Just plug and play. These tubes break up a lot earlier than a lot of tubes but the breakup is a nice, smooth rounded breakup. I guess it depends what you like but I think these tubes are much better than JJ’s which I think are too harsh. They help deliver that famous Vox chime. Between the time it took to get here and the tone I get out of them I’m very happy. I might even switch my preamp tubes to Mullard Reissues as well.

Awesome tube for a Vox AC4 TV
Awesome tube for my Vox AC4 TV - 10 inch speaker - or ANY guitar amp that runs an EL84 power tube. Really boosted the performance over the stock tube. Will Definitely buy again.
