Great upgrade
Works perfectly and is the correct upgrade if you have a 03-05 Cummins 5.9 with the one stupid 7 rib pulley in your power steering pump. This pump will bolt right in however you have to get the bigger aluminum pulley from Dorman. This pump does make a huge difference in steering pressure as it does produce more line pressure at idle making it easier to turn sitting still even with big wide tires

Good Upgrade for the 03-07 Rams
This pump {bolt together} is a good upgrade from the one that comes {circlip} in the 03-07 Ram Cummins trucks. The OEM pumps are held together with a circlip. The aftermarket pumps of that style are complete and total crap. This one bolts right in place of it. It is a bolt together style. The high pressure line fits. The reservoir clears the intercooler piping better than the original. You need Dorman 300-149 pulley because the shaft on these pumps are different. When you press the pulley on leave it about 1/4" from being all the way on, then your belts will all line up. Easy Peasy. No more exploding power steering reservoirs or dragging steering at low speeds.

08 ram 3500 mega cab
The media could not be loaded. Haven’t got to drive the truck yet but it is turning 37s stationary. Seems like a good pump but time will tell. At first I pressed the pulley “ dorman 300-149” flush with the shaft using a left over bell housing bolt. After installing I noticed the pulley was to far back causing the belt to ride awkward on the crank and fan clutch pulley. Went to oriellys and rented the tool and pulled it back about 1/8-3/16”. So when you install your pulley put a few washer or something underneath and tighten it up by hand. I used a long handle screw driver through the pulley backed up on the pump and pressed it on with a ratchet. Use washers or anything to space the bolt up so it doesn’t bottom out but you want at least 4-5 good threads to press with. I got the wheels off the ground and turned them back and forth by hand around 15 times then started the truck for a second and topped the fluid. I believe I used around 2-3 qrts of atf4

Fit Perfect
This replacement pump is identical to the OE ZF pump. 2005 Ram 3500 Cummins OE pulley pressed on perfectly. This pump came with reservoir, cap, and new o-ring for pressure line. Bled with vacuum bleeder hand pump and it didn't even make a noise when started. Power steering and Hydra boost brakes work better than ever. I am a service manager at a Ram Truck dealership and chose this pump over the superseded pump from Mopar because of cost. Would buy again if needed.
