Well designed layout
So I've had this bag for 2 years now without issue, though admittedly it hasn't seen truly heavy use like my main (larger) messenger bag. This bag has a great layout because the front and flap pockets are usable when the main compartment is full, and the interior pockets don't interfere with filling it to capacity. For comparison, I originally bought a peak design tech pouch, but it had too many dividers and pockets. I tried squeezing everything in my main Tumi messenger, but when the central compartment is full the organizer pockets are essentially unusable. I ended up buying this which was really too big for the gadget I had in mind, but the price is really good compared to similar bags from the name brands and I was so frustrated I was ready to try anything. The bag is of surprisingly good quality for the price. While obviously the material isn't very premium (like obviously the leather isn't real), it doesn't feel cheap either. It has that durable utilitarian vibe, and has survived 2 years of light to moderate use (since it only supplemented my everyday bag, as intended). The magnetic clasp holds reasonably well without being difficult to separate with one hand.My original plan didn't work out so I ended up repurposing this bag for my Nintendo switch, with plenty of room for the power adapter, cables, travel dock, and extra controllers. It is the perfect size for this, in my opinion.I might consider the larger size to replace my everyday bag when it wears out, though I suspect it will be quite some time before I will need to replace either my supplemental leaper canvas or my EDC.

Not quite what I was hoping for...
...strangely enough, it's what I was expecting, though...Okay, so far, the bag is more than I was expecting, to be honest. The canvas is nice, the brown secondary color suits it well, but having ordered the black bag, I have yet to find a part of it that is actually black. The primary color is more dark brown than actually black. The first thing I did after checking all the pockets and seeing where my notebook could fit (main pocket only), was to cut off all the cheap pleather zipper pulls. I replaced them with the chainmaille zipper pulls from my old bag.The second thing I did was to trim back the sharp snaggled edge on the strap clasp, and took a pair of pliers to reshaping the clasp to secure properly. Upside, that thing is actually a decently thick aluminum, so it's not easily broken (yet). My next project for it is to remove the cheap pleather buckle accents from the front flap. Gonna find some brown straps somewhere and sew them on instead. It'll look better without the cheap pleather, trust me.I want to point out, there is a sheet of cardboard under the canvas separating the big pocket from the smaller front pockets. Mine came all bent up, and if I may suggest, a sheet of plastic may be stronger? Just saying. All in all, the bag took all my purse things, sits comfortably on my shoulder, and is as easy to cross-body carry as it is to just set it on my shoulder for normal carry. The main pocket can easily carry (plus normal purse things) a 5-subject notebook and four bottles of water (I used Lipton tea in my test).Definitely not bad for less than $30. Oh, and if it's not apparent, I'm using my bag as a normal carry purse.

"anti theft" is a stretch but a decent, well made bag for the price
I was pleasantly surprised with the decent quality of the bag, I personally don't like the material much based on the way it feels but most bags are like that and it's all thick and high quality, should hold up to every day use for awhile. On the note of anti theft however, I must say the lock may function as a deterrent in some situations, like if you're at work and worried about someone rummaging through your bag but not ballsy enough to take the whole thing, or cut it open with a knife, but the bag is canvas, a cheap everyday pocket knife could easily cut it right open if someone really wanted to get in the secured pocket and the bag is small enough to easily grab and run with. It's not completely useless, it gives a bit of peace of mind for me at work, that's not even why I bought it though, but don't expect this to completely protect your belongings and leave it laying around, if an actual thief and not just a shady coworker or student who notices your bag in a camera Blindspot at work/school wants what's in your bag, they will absolutely just cut it open and or take the whole bag and cut it open at home, it's not a safe, just a minor deterrence. Just think about that if you really need an anti theft bag, something better would probably have a alarm you can activate with a key fob if someone runs off with it, or a gps tracker installed you can track with your phone. Both of which you can probably just buy and put on any bag.As for durability, I can't give it a full 5 stars yet because... I want this bag to last and I'm not gonna give it a full stress test, the important thing to me in durability is how long it's going to hold up to regular use and I'm not going to know that after one day of taking it to work. It feels durable, I'll give it that, all the zippers and handles and straps feel secure, no loose threads, nothing feels like it might break off for no reason, was actually surprised how durable it appears to be, which is why I gave it 4 stars from the get go.I won't be updating most likely unless negative, so if you see it's been 6 months and I haven't come back and complained about durability, consider it 5 stars.

Great for travel and business
I travel from the North West to London with my work at least 2-3 days per week and wanted a bag which would allow me to carry a 10" tablet, drinks and snacks together with my works laptop and note pads - leaving my travel case for clothes etc.I have a number of messenger bags but liked the look of this one and I wanted a bag which went diagonal across my back. This is ideal, and after a few weeks worth of travel I can't fault it. I have added a little lock for the main compartment but overall very pleased with the purchase.I would highly recommend.

Great Bag
Bought this for traveling, as a bag for taking on the plane and for carrying my laptop around. Is really durable, I can fit my Mac book Pro 13", charger, books etc, is even got side pockets for bottles, umbrella etc. Couple of nice smaller areas for easy access to phone etc. Good strap across the body which I prefer to a rucksack. Looks nice and had many people ask where I bought it from too!

A good small bag.
Great bag with space to fit a laptop. Good quality and easy to carry on the front when commuting across London. Lots of pockets, although I personally feel it looks a bit effeminate.

Quality, Space Airline Small Hand Luggage Acceptable BA
Lots of space and compartments, good quality and clever features. I could not have hoped for better, perfect size for small hand luggage for the new BA regulations.
