ZoneAlarm Pro 5 Firewall + Privacy Protection

I was a little disappointed because after I purchased this product the price kept going down. It went down $10.00 the next day after I purchased it. It also went down even more after that. It's working fine but I don't understand how the price dropped as soon as I purchased it.

While my knowledge is pretty limited about firewalls and virus protection, between Microsoft Antispyware and ZoneAlarm, I feel pretty well covered from the bugs and viruses. Once in a while I feel that these things are too complicated for someone like me, but scratching my head once in a while is better than having my computer torched by some idiot with nothing better to do than to ruin communications for others. ZoneAlarm, even with the update to 6 whatever, is working just fine. It was worth the money.

What a peace of garbage, won't register, nothing wrong with my internet connection. Won't down load, hours of frustration, took a couple hours off to cool off, try again, then the same old crap. This is going back. Only reason it gets one star is because there's nothing less.

this thing screwed up my computer so bad I had to wipe the disk and reinstall windows. I lost a lot of programs and time. I deposited the thing into the trash. it should not be on the market either

great product at a great price

technical support is almost non-existent, because of this i will look to another product. this is unacceptible.

I've been a Zone Alarm user for about ten years. This is not because I was completely happy but just too lazy to change. It seemed that every year it didn't work for one reason or another and I'd be asked to delete the old version and reinstate the fixed version. This happened again this year. Suddenly my firewall and anti virus stopped working. I contacted them and was told I had the old version (amazing as I'd only renewed my subscription a few months before). They asked me to delete the old version (just like previous years) and download the upgrade. A list of complicated instructions followed. I was annoyed but agreed. The only thing was the download didn't work. I tried 4 times. Frustrated and several blood pressure pills later I contacted their help people. I wanted a refund but they refused to give me one even though it was their error. I was outside the refund period they said. Their customer care is the worst I have encountered -ever. Now I'm without a firewall and anti virus even though I've paid for it. Disgraceful and their assistant was completely unsympathetic to my predicament. Basically he couldn't have cared less in my view.Draw your own conclusions from my experience.

Hey, I've used ZoneAlarm for years and agree that it's a fairly good firewall for the money. However, watch out for the latest version (version 6)!! It hosed my computer. It forgot all the settings I've had on it for the past five or so years. Every application on my computer that accesses the internet is no longer working including Internet Explorer and my email. They added this new feature Smart Defense that doesn't seem too smart so far. They also changed all your program permissions to Block. You have to physically go in and change them back to Ask just to get it to prompt you for access to the internet. Then they amazing broke the Remember this Setting option so it prompts you again and again. Anyway, you get the picture and I can sleep knowing you have been warned. The latest upgrade is terrible.
