The draining mat is well made and easy to clean, it fits perfectly on my draining board. It prevents crockery etc from sliding around and drains well. I searched a lot for a mat that was the right size, thickness etc and would be easy to clean. A previous purchase had discoloured and proved difficult to keep clean and hygenic. This mat is perfect and I highly recommend it.

It's a reasonably sturdy mat and I will keep it, BUT in my head 17" seemed quite large, but it's far too small for what I need, but that is totally my fault. If you only need something to place a very small number of items this will work, but i will have to research something at least double the size.

It's unusual for Duncurin to buy two draining boards in one week. Our previous one was a little worse for wear and I purchased a Joseph Joseph pop up draining board, also reviewed. Although this is okay and I felt better disposed to it once its warp had settled as it acclimatised to being next to our inset sink. However although functionally it wasn't bad it just didn't look right. Of course, Amazon always display things, when you browse, that you also may like and I saw this Silicone drain pad.Okay, it's only a simple thing and it is also fairly inexpensive but it looks much better that the one previously reviewed as above. It doesn't have a pop up rack for the plates but it just looks so much more aesthetically pleasing and the black, slightly shiny finish seems to fit in better too. Of course not only that but it also protects the surface underneath of the kitchen worktop/grooved draining surface which I realise I can no longer afford to replace (my wife having saved for over 2 years to get rid of my 'bachelor' kitchen). So, it looks really good and works really well and provides the protection that the surface needs. It is easy to cleanand keep clean and it will also fold up and hang up if you need such a facility though we tend to just leave it in place. My only reservation is that I'd like it a bit wider but one can't have everything. Otherwise it's just the job.

I hummed and hawed over which mat to get, as I had a dish drying rack with not much drainage beneath it, just a nearly smooth kitchen unit. I settled on this one based partly on price (competitive vs the others). I'm glad I did - it feels sturdy but not unsightly; doesn't have a smell as some cheap products do; sits neatly on the unit with no slipping because it's silicone; and fits perfectly under my drainage rack with just an inch or so around it ie perfect size for a normal rack. The fact it easily folds in half is really handy for pouring water back into the basin. All in all a nice little item with no problems so far!

You could ask how important is it have a stylish draining mat? Well, in the big scheme of things... it's not so very important! Putting that thought aside, this mat has been thoughtfully designed so that you can discard any accumulated water by folding and tipping it. It has two corner holes from which it can be hung when not in use. The grey colour looks so much nicer on a stainless steel sink unit, than the usual white. it's well designed, functional and good looking. I'm well pleased.

Utilisé sous un égouttoir, le style est sympa mais c’est dommage que l’eau stagne dans les rainures et ça crée des traces blanchâtres du coup ça fait pas propre.
