It's a Small World (Disney Classic) (Little Golden Book)

This was a Christmas present for my son I love these little books so I had to get him these because they are just cute and he is into me reading to him every night now and I actually road this ride in Disney land in California

The illustrations are great, and I like how the book shows how to pronounce the word hello in the native language of each country they visit. Well, except for their help pronouncing the Russian greeting... I don't know if they did a poor job trying to describe how to pronounce it, or if Russian just that difficult for an English speaker, but yikes I'm dreading trying to read that greeting to my niece! The storyline is very basic, even for a little golden book, but the illustrations make up for it, as does the nostalgia element for any fans of the ride. It's a small world at Disneyland has always been my, my mom's, and my grandpa's favorite ride. So excited Disney is turning their most popular rides into kids books!

Super cute book. My son loves the ride it’s a small world at Disney World so this is a perfect Christmas gift.

My 4 year old son and I both enjoy reading this book together. The book travels to many different countries and shows the pronunciation of how to say 'hello' in different languages as well as pictures showing how children in other countries might dress (I cannot speak to how authentic this is).My son really enjoys pointing out the Disney characters who can be found throughout the book depending on the country the book is visiting like Alice and Peter Pan in London. In this regard it is very much like the updated version of the ride at Disneyland - missing the park is one of the reasons I purchased this book and was not disappointed. We are looking forward to the Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion Little Golden Books coming out later in the year.If you found this review helpful, please click the 'Helpful' button.

This book is adorable, especially for the price. The book is reminiscent of the Disneyland version of the ride with character cameos. It’s fun to look for all the characters in the illustrations. It also has key ride elements in the illustrations as well - the pink elephant and blinking hippo, along with MANY others! I also appreciate the “hello” phrases written in each culture’s native language with the phonetic spelling along with it. Also important to note, there is only one reference to the notorious song and it come at the very end. So the likelihood of getting that particular song stuck in your head is fairly low. This book would be good to read to a first time Disney goer, or as a souvenir to be waiting for you at home after a Disney trip!

I bought this book for my nieces toddler daughter and also one for my sister who is retired (because she loves Disney). My sister and my niece both said it is really cute.
