At last, proper steak and kidney pudding
Must agree with all the other comments. Couldn't believe the size when they arrived, as they are about 50% bigger than well known supermarket brands. Steamed it, rather than microwaved and when cut, full to the brim with chunks of meat and lovely tasting suet pastry. Nice touch in that they arrived in boxes with ice packs in to keep them cool. Definitely shall be using them again as I have no objection to paying a fiver each (inc postage) for a good quality, large, S&K pudding - even if I do turn into Mr Blobby's fat brother :-)

Best S&K pudding for a while
By comparison to others recently theses were by far the best. Steak with Kidney you could actually find and taste.Only thing stopping the 5 stars was the pastry being a little thicker than i would have liked, but the meat and flavour more than made up.Would recommend and will buy again.Ps the freeze well just remember to defrosg fully

4 small-ish pies of "Steak & KIDNEY pie"
Submitted in late July 2021:Food perfectly acceptable but...1.Not nearly enough kidney offal in the mix ie far to much steak. Ratio of "Kidney/Steak" needs to be increased drastically up to 50/50 as per the Law on Trades Description(s) Acts of UK Parliament.!!!2.The "Cooking Instructions" as delivered at late July 2021 is currently "NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE" and drastically needs to be re-drafted/re-written - in a numbered/paragraphed & then also linear type style to suit all types of people who do not own a BA (Hons) degree in English/Lit/Lang nor a BSc (Hons) degree in Food/Cooking/Nutrition. eg what is a "ban marie".?NB: The phrase: "ban marie" did NOT exist on any GCE 'O'/'A' level London University Exam syllabuses at Emanuel School (cc Sir Tim Berners - Lee [the inventor of the www-internet.]) during 1971-77 NOR on any BSc (Hons) degree courses at City University during 1977-80 NOR on any MSc (post-graduate) degree courses at Kingston University during 1994-95.3."Pastry" not exactly the "suet" type that I was expecting. Both my mother & late grandmother(RIP) could make a better steak & kidney pie than this Amazon bought one.In terms of size then I (w/gastric by-pass op to my bloated stomach in April 2008) scoffed off just one pie for my lunch as a taster. Definitely avoid selling this Amazon product to any "Mister Creosote"/"Fat Bastard".AMH

Nice but very dissapointed that there are no 'chunks' as advertised.
Arrived today 5th February, 10 days earlier than expected which was great.Immdediately cooked 1st one for lunch.Big disappointment - whilst flavours is great and the texture of the suet is lovley, there is not a single chunk of kidney or steak - just a mush (see photo).Hopefully 2nd one will be better, otherwise will not be ordering again.

As good a match as my Memory could conjure up!
Just what I remember (minus 3 hours Steaming)!Delicious Pastry and good quality Meat filling.Generous 'Treat for Grandad' size!My only niggle would be the Gravy,I like plenty of Gravy with Meat Pudding and the Pies seem to have just enough to cook the Meat.I will certainly ensure I make sufficient extra next time ( which will be soon) !
