Great drive, low price
Bought this IDE drive to replace the one in an older computer I still want to get more life out of. It installed easily and worked as expected. Great price and quick delivery.

Good choice for an old PC
Most PCs made recently don't use IDE drives, so be careful before you order this. I was repairing an old PC for my grandson, so this looked like a good fit. It worked fine, but the PC was beyond repair, and I elected to just replace the PC. It comes with limited mounting hardware and no screws, so unless you have some around, you may need to get some. Likewise with the cables to the motherboard. If you are repairing a PC, you can reuse those, but if you are building one, you may need to order the cables separately. The drive is quiet, and had no compatibility issues in the relatively short time I was using it. I have held onto it, and will use it again on a future fixer upper.

Worked for 6 Hours
What did I expect for about $20? I guess you get what you pay for. I am returning and I will try a replacement from the same company. Do I never learn?

SMART: 30000 hours of operation, but good otherwise
I cloned a failing drive over to this to resuscitate an older machine. SMART monitoring was off on the drive. As soon as I turned it on, it showed 30,000 hours of usage. There is some ambiguity with regards to the drives being new, used or refurbished, so I wanted to put that out there. Otherwise, the drive works just fine and has dramatically sped up this older Dell. A great value for the money.

It has to work or it is worthless
Did not work out of the box. May have been damaged in shipping. Who knows.

It Saved The Day!
My supplier was different from the shipper showing now.. but all I can say is it arrived AHEAD of schedule so I was able to get a computer built for a surprise for that upcoming weekend :-) And it arrived well packed and is working like a charm! the cost for me was only $17.00.. Hat's off to Go Hardrive for supply me with an Outstanding Unit!

Noisy
I needed a cheap and good capacity hard drive. This item gather both . However, even though is an old one, it's noisy like very old drives. It works fine, no problem. But it's noisy.Good and fast transaction. Excelent seller.

Works but noisy
Not bad for the price and is working fine for now but this hard drive is very noisy . When I first install it I thought it might be an old hard drive with all the noise so I ran a diagnostic to check for bad sectors but it was fine . I guess this is normal.
