I love this lamp! I read the reviews before buying so I was aware of assembly issues others had. It's really simple if you just take your time and use common sense. The shade looks like it's ready to go as it comes, but it is not. It's packed upside down. So remove shade, flip over. Do not add bulb yet. Slide shade back in right side up while watching from above by starting with bottom of shade and work socket up through the square made by the wire frame of the shade. Once you're in far enough, carefully turn shade so that top of shade can be slid up into lamp. Then pull shade up over socket and place ring over socket and add bulb. IMPORTANT USE LED BULB SO SHADE DOES NOT GET BURNED FROM HEAT FROM REGULAR BULB. This came quickly and is what I hoped for. The base is sturdy and so is the shade. The color of the shade on the bronze based lamp is not white, but a light linen/oatmeal color. It is really cool looking and using a 60 watt equivalent LED (which equals 9 regular watts) it provides plenty of light for a small lamp. I couldn't be happier.

this looks more complicated than it is! I appreciated that there was no assembly required, just remove the plastic and put in the light bulb. It looks very contemporary and looks great in my office

Our 2 lamps are used in a long hallway; they provide a pleasant glow and a nice change from the overhead light we used before receiving the lamps..

Order two lamps, one of them arrived damaged. I initiated an return through Amazon and Lamps Plus replaced it in no time. Great customer service. They shades block a lot of the light so they are perfect for a night stand. The base is of a sturdy metal. The only part that is a bit disappointing is the bulb socket. On one of the lamp the socket arrived broken. Lamps Plus immediately process a replacement. On the second lamp while putting on the shade, the plastic cover of the socket came off. However, i was able to pop it back on.

Perfect lamp for my desk, it's very stylish and well made. It matches the lamp my daughter bought for my night stand but she paid a lot more for that. It's easy to assemble too.

Returning this because the light bulb holder is so loose that the shade skews badly when the bulb is tightened, and thus the shade leans at an angle and looks very ugly.

I was a little worried that the lamp would arrive damaged or scratched from looking at other reviews but mine came in perfect condition. It's the perfect smaller size and has a great modern look to it.

Pull chain means no fumbling for a switch. Looks contemporary and sleek.
