I’ve been a loyal Dyson user for about 10 years, always replacing one with another whenever it wore out. But this last time, I decided to try a Shark—and honestly, the difference blew me away. Dyson is a good vacuum, but Shark is officially my go-to now.I have six cats and a dog, so I need a vacuum that can really keep up with the constant pet hair and mess. This one absolutely does.Here’s what stood out to me:It’s super lightweight. I didn’t even realize how heavy my old vacuums were until I started using this one. It glides across the floor effortlessly and is really easy to push.The canister is more secure. It has specific buttons and latches to open and empty it, so it feels less messy and more controlled.The deodorizer capsule works. I was skeptical, but it actually makes the air smell fresher after vacuuming, which is a nice touch, especially with pets.The floor light is amazing. I had no idea how helpful a vacuum light could be on tile floors. When I vacuum with the lights dim, every bit of hair and dust lights up, and my house looks noticeably cleaner.The hose handle release is super handy. It makes it really easy to clean around animal cages and window sills without having to wrestle with attachments.Bottom line: I’m SO glad I bought this vacuum. It’s made cleaning easier and more effective, and I won’t be going back.

Boy, does this vacuum suck. This is the rare occasion when saying that is truly a positive. I had a Shark vacuum cleaner before but it really did better on carpeting than hardwood, so I gave it to my son when he got his own apartment. This one is great on either surface. Despite its weight, it is pretty easy to maneuver around the house and up our stairs. I have a pit mix that sprinkles about a million hairs a week around our house (honestly, we don't why she's not bald except evidently they all spontaneously regenerate). This vacuum delivers as promised on picking up pet hair. The attachments are a great addition for sucking her hair out of the couches in our living room, too. Highly recommend!

Whew! I was debating returning this cuz initially I bought this when my dyson stopped working, but I fixed it before this vacuum arrived. However I do not have a heavy duty corded vacuum and my dyson is great, but its not the best at getting all the pet hair & vacuuming the carpet/couch. I figured I would at least TRY this vacuum before returning it. I haven't bought a new vacuum in years- my oh my have things changed.This thing is intense. It REALLY cleans. Like night & day cleans. I always felt like before my house wasn't as clean as I wanted. Not anymore. These attachments are great & helps with other messes. The suction goes HARD!! It was pulling dirt/hair from hard to reach places like nothing!!! Its lightweight and even helps when youre pushing forward.I just wish there was a place on the vacuum for all the attachments to fit. There's 2 on each side but that leaves one left with no home. 🥺Its a bit expensive but honestly I think its worth it. I snatched it on prime day & im glad I did. My dogs aren't too sure about it yet though 😅

We've had this Shark vacuum for almost a year now and there are a lot of good features but a couple of things that could still be improved. Our house is mostly hardwood and vinyl tiles with the only carpet being on the stairs and a couple area rugs. We also have two cats, one of which is a long-hair, and they do shed a lot, plus they also spread pieces of litter around the house after using the litter box.First the good. The lighter weight is nice especially when doing an entire 2500 square foot house. The various components attach and detach easily. The unit is easy to tilt back and moves effortlessly on carpet and hard surfaces. The swivel base makes it easier to maneuver in tight spaces and corners. It also fits under the toe kick of kitchen cabinets. The cord hook actually holds the entire cord without coming loose like some other units. The collection canister is large enough to allow doing the entire house before emptying. The canister can also be opened one either end which helps with emptying if some cat fur is stuck near the top. The brush roll indicator light is a nice feature since cat fur occasionally clogs between the brushroll and soft roller. The suction control is nice but we've never used it on anything but maximum suction. The pet powerbrush works well on carpet and the width is almost exactly riser height, which makes vacuuming the risers easier. The light also makes seeing fur, dust and litter easier without any other lights on.But there are some features that could be improved. Some are actually annoying. The biggest issue is the location of the power cord and on/off switch. The cord connects to the unit under the collection canister instead of at the end of the handle like our previous Shark unit which makes managing the cord during use very awkward and the switch is also located where you have to bend over to turn the unit on and off rather than on the handle, which would be more convenient. We find the only way to keep from running over the cord is to lift it up and put it over one shoulder before starting the unit. There is a small hook on the wand but it is virtually useless because the cord will not stay in the hook. Those issues get pretty annoying by the time you are finished with an entire house. Also, pet hair gets wrapped around the internal mechanism of the pet powerbrush so it has to be taken apart to clean inside after every use and none of the attachments are very effective at removing cat fur other than on the stairs and area rugs. Rubbing hard by hand or with a damp cloth on chairs, throw pillows, cardboard cat scratchers, and other hard or soft surfaces seems to work better to remove fur from these items. We also find a hand-held vacuum more convenient to use in certain situations that trying to use the handle or the wand.All in all, this is still a nice unit for the price, especially if you can only afford both an upright and a hand-held unit, and it is pretty much trouble free and easy to maintain so a 4-star rating is definitely appropriate. But it is probably as close to warranting a 5-star rating as any vacuum cleaner we've ever owned.

Perfect! I love this vacuum. It does carpet and hardwood floors and tile floors too. Great for pet hair. Amazing what it picks up. Ease of use. It is so easy to push on carpet. It has an auto detect button that allows you to go from hardwood to Carpet adjusting automatic. It has a lift away for you to carry and vacuum stairs, curtains, around trim. 💯❤️👍
