Such a great book!

My nephew LOVES this book!! I try to read it for him every night but hey.... come on! Sometimes he'll pick it up for me to read it and Sometimes I have to read and allow him to just do him own thing. In between, he'll come and listen and look on the pictures. I bought this one here and " Be Brave Little One." There hasn't been alot of assurance from the adults who raised me, and so one of my goal and responsibilities as an adult mysel, is to give assurance to all kids who encounters me. Never be afraid to show your love, and never rob the love a kid deserves.

This is a beautiful children’s book. Great size, perfect for a gift. Cute story line that a child can carry with them as they grow. Nice quality on the cover and pages!

I absolutely love all of Marianne Richmond books, especially this one, her books say everything you want and should to tell your little ones. Highly recommend.

I PROMISE YOU is a lovely picture book read of a message between caregiver and child. The book promises the reader care, freedom to be themselves, and lots of love. It is a really sweet message that shows the child growing and becoming an individual throughout. Each page features lovely watercolor illustrations that convey a lot of love and fun.What I loved: The illustrations are really pretty with soft watercolors and children and parents featured in recognizable scenes of love throughout. The text itself is easy to read in a nice clear font and is relatively short on each page, making them turn quickly. This book would be great as a gift of love.What left me wanting more: As a small thing, the text almost has a rhythm, but it does not quite get there, and so reads a bit awkwardly in places.Final verdict: A story of love with pretty watercolor illustrations, I PROMISE YOU is a great story to share between caregiver and child of all the ways we show our love and support as children grow up.Please note that I received a review copy through Sourcebooks Early Reads. As a first time mom this book is amazing. I cried ready it.

I love giving gifts to my girls that mean something and are functional. My girls love books and this is literally the sweetest one I've read to them yet. Being a mom is the best thing I've ever done, but knowing that I'm preparing them to be their own person and let them fly independently someday is so hard. This book helped to remind me too that I'm preparing them to be that independent person!
