Nutritious, Delicious, and Cost-Effective
I love these Brown Rice and Millet noodles from Lotus Foods! They’re a healthier alternative to traditional ramen noodles, and my whole family enjoys both the taste and the pleasantly springy texture. After extensive price comparisons, I’ve found that buying in bulk with Subscribe & Save is the most cost-effective way to keep these stocked in my pantry.Cooking tip: For the best results, break each noodle block into strands first. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add one third of the noodles (the boil will temporarily slow), wait until it returns to a rolling boil, and repeat this twice. Cook for a total of 5 minutes, drain well, and toss with 2 teaspoons of sesame oil to coat—just like dressing a salad.

Great gluten-free noodle!
I am so glad to have found these noodles! Since being diagnosed with celiac and taking steps to heal my gut, one of the things I've missed most (believe it or not) is ramen noodles. The portions look small, but they're made from brown rice so are more dense and filling so the portion ends up being perfect. I boil them with a cube of Herb-Ox gluten free bouillon and a small handful of organic freeze-dried vegetables and they're delicious! They're baked and not fried, which is also much healthier. My kids are even satisfied with them! They end up being more expensive, but at just over a dollar a serving I think it's a great trade-off for a healthier product. They're part of my daily routine and I love them!

Convenient versatile Gluten free with no excess packaging. No nonsense noodles.
Got the box of 48 noodle cakes. Packaging is the giant bag in the product photo carefully fitted into a cardboard box. Very nice. There will be some noodles no longer in cakes due to shipping. Get over it. Just measure about 1 cup or 1 1/4 cup of the dry noodle blob as an equivalent cake and move on.I think the noodles taste simply like brown rice. You are meant to add your own seasoning, so I dont understand people complaining about flavor. You season it as you wish. If you think they should magically taste like wheat, they wont, they are rice and millet. So guess what they taste like? RICE. Don't disappoint yourself by expecting this to be more than what it is.My seasoning recipe for one prepared cake of noodles:I use about a tablespoon of sesame oil, a teaspoon or two of gluten free soy sauce and a good sprinkling of white pepper. White pepper gives a light illusion of salt, without being salt. I dont salt mine. Adjust these amounts to your liking. You can season these to be Cajun, Italian, whatever meal you're making, as a side dish which is very convenient.I put all the noodle cakes stacked in large airtight containers. (I will use the bag they came in for a little trash can bag, so no waste there.)Cardboard box goes to the cat.Very happy with these. For anyone complaining the noodles are from China, a lot of your ramen products come from China, so just stop already with that nonsense. So are your tv and phone electronics that you cant live without. Why are you buying them 'Murica? Because they are good! Are you going to open your own noodle factory in the U.S.? Let me know when you do.Just shove some GF noodles in your mouth and enjoy them already.Sincerely,A citizen for no nonsense noodles.

Surprisingly good for such a bargain
My wife and I love to use this for our soups. It's actually a really good noodle, which surprised me cuz I've bought some bargain noodles and they fall apart so easily and get mushy. These just have a good texture and taste very good. Of course we add vegetables and stuff to our soups, but for a cheap noodle, it's quite a steal. Some of the bottom squares do come crushed, but nothing a few zip lock baggies can't fix. They are not individually wrapped but again, we just use zip lock baggies and re-use.

Order was not up to Amazon standards
Box arrived with outdated expiration date. Some of the ramen seemed edible. Some of the ramen arrived crushed.I have ordered this is smaller quantities and enjoy the value.

Delicious ramen got crushed - need more careful packaging
I love this brand of Ramen. I love the general experience of ramen. And I love minimal packaging. However, in this case a box would have been a helpful thing. I deducted a star because the seller shipped the ramen in structureless plastic wrapping, and so of course all the ramen cakes got crushed, meaning I have more tiny crumbles of ramen than long noodles to look forward to.I strongly encourage the seller to package this product more carefully.

Great noodles at great cost
We love these noodles! I like the health benefits of black rice and need to be gluten free, and these noodles are really tasty! Bonus and worth it to buy it in bulk.

BUT BREAKAGE PROBLEM WORSE!!! Fantastic! Gluten and FODMAP free!
STAR REDUCTION UPDATE NOTE:I stand by this as a great product, but the shipping results are terrible, thus I reduced the stars from five to three. It comes in plastic bag in snug cardboard box, and there is significant breakage. The first time it was MEH-- a goodly amount, but acceptable. This last time, a *substantial* portion of the product came in CRUMBS. Not just mostly broken cakes--- a heavy bag of literal shards and dust. This of course will affect serving size, texture, and taste of my finished food products.I want to constantly keep this product on hand in my cupboard, but I don't like to invest that much money into foodstuffs that will not be reasonably usable. I hope they decide to add more protection to their product in shipping.__________________PRODUCT IS STILL GREAT!Great product and this is a good deal compared to any shelf pricing. Cooks quickly, great taste and texture, versatile to cook with, good as a light soup, or a spiced-up heavy noodle dish.Comes in one big bag; I put several into a glass jar on my counter to cook with and pin the bag closed and store it until I need it. However, its good enough that my husband likes it too and we go through them faster than I thought I would :)
