Well, the chain is good because the craftsmanship of the combs in particular I have found to be exceptional. My hair has been growing out and often is a tangled mess. The bamboo combs work through the tangles. So far only a slight chip on one tooth of the big comb but, and I can't stress this enough, I was rough on the comb. As a result of all this, my hair is shiny and growing out nicely.

I have only used the biggest brush, so I can’t speak to other pieces, but the brush works well to detangle my very thick wavy hair. I do wear my hair up and covered so it only gets mildly tangled, but this brush has had no problems getting through it. I have not had any bristles pop out, but they do send extra replacement bristles just in case.

Very good, they detangle hair well, and they say it doesn't break easily.

My family has been using these for weeks now and I can't truly say our hair is softer with less breakage. My hair is 4Z (really 4C) but you get the point. The bruh works amazing when it comes to tangle removal.

I am rough with hair tools so I was worried these would be like my last set of wooden combs and snap in half. They are definitely sturdy - nothing has broken yet! The rat tail comb is surprisingly strong and it's smooth so no hair gets caught in splinters or snags in the wood when you are parting hair or using it to smooth bumps. That being said, I do not use these when my hair is wet, so I cannot speak to how they do/don't warp or splinter when they get wet. For my purposes they work great though.

It’s a nice set of bamboo brushes and combs, however, I did not get the bag of spare brush bristles, and the detangle comb has a small, shallow crack in it. It’s useable, and I like the brushes enough, that I will not return, but I will not use the comb in the shower - as I had planned - in fear that water swelling will expand the crack. I think, it’s a hit or miss with this one. If that crack wouldn’t have been there and the spare bristles would have been included, I would have given it a 5 star review.

Perfect for my very thick hair. Detangles without breaking my hair. The brushes and wide tooth comb are so much gentler than plastic. They are exceptionally smooth and softer on my hair. The fine tooth comb is also very gentle. I love this set.
