Excellent knife. I enjoy sitting on my front porch cutting up an apple with it. I am only 31 years old, but due to my weight, I have the heart health of a 70 year old. In turn, this is the perfect knife to fit this unfortunate situation.Overall, the knife opening and closing mechanism is crisp and smooth, perfect size, and you have the swagger that owning a case knife brings. It lets others know that you don’t much give a darn what they think. 10/10 would recommend.

The manufacturing quality is great and the two blades are razor-sharp. The looks are also very classic and neat. The carbon steel version (erroneously labeled on this site as Chrome-Vanadium) should be relatively easier to sharpen, but overall requires a bit more general maintenance. If you like or prefer more shiny stuff, go for the stainless-steel version (a bit harder to sharpen when needed). No complaints about either version.

Very comfortable and non threatening knife of decent size. I bought the red bone version in high carbon stainless and the synthetic smooth yellow in high carbon original Case steel. TBH i bought the yellow as much for the steel as the older style emblem.Why 4 stars? Final finish.My red bone had 1 blade sharpened by someone who was on their 1st day and a few places on bone scale to brass pins that were not quite polished correctly. Because I like to sharpen, the rough edge was just an extra 5 minutes on the coarse stone.On the yellow high carbon the spey blade fingernail groove is slightly out of position making it a little harder to open that blade. Nothing I can do to improve that.If I had to do the whole buying experience again I would go to brick and mortar place a hand select from a pile of them.I am totally bonded to those 2 knives but I could have had a 5 star experience if I could dig through a selection.
