Definitely didn’t not make my medium brown hair auburn. Far too orange to pull that off. Could barely tell a difference. I ended up giving it to my redheaded daughter and she used it to make her red hair more vibrant. Works well for that!

I take one star off because the box makes it look like this tints hair purple and it very much does not. It is a vivid, neutral red color, more cool-toned than a copper gloss. I dye my hair "lightest auburn" and use this when I do root touch-ups to refresh the whole head. It makes my hair super soft and shiny as well.

It did make a bit of a difference on my dark brown hair. Tone is more like a red violet but I'm happy with the result 👍

BEWARE!!! This shade comes out of the tube "Bozo The Clown Orange". I thought, well they always say the tube color is not necessarily indicative of the final hair color so I proceeded with the application, Imagine my surprise when after rinsing my hair it is just as ORANGE as the tube color, no where near the pictured color. I can't say much about the product but the color was awful. I only had two saving facts, one, my boyfriend is color blind so he didn't notice and two, the product washes out after a few shampoos. I'll stick with my regular Clairol Color Gloss Up.

Used on natural untreated, red/auburn hair with some age related fading, Left on 15 minutes. Result: a hint of extra color, did not look dyed at all. It evened out the tone and hair was soft and shiny. A wonderful way to let the hair grow out naturally without permanent dyes and damage.
