Nice Refurb
These are excellent refurbished units. I got mine from the seller PT ELECTRONIC TECH LLC as they had a 100% positive feedback and they did not disappoint. The unit practically looks new, just some very subtle minor wear on the lid really from just normal daily use/put in and out of a soft bag/backpack it looks like.Runs fast, the i5 has 4 physical cores and 4 hyper threaded logical units so "8 cores" and 16 GB of RAM along with a 512 GB speedy intel SSD. These are fantastic modest units, save some cash and get one of these if you have a relative who just needs a fast, dependable and plenty of power enough for a basic everyday productivity user vs spending quadruple the amount on something newer. you can't beat the value of these lenovo T490 refurbs.

Ready for Arch Linux
Zapped the hard disk and installed Linux, great screen image, good keyboard, speed and functionally. Now I have a back up laptop to travel, and log with SSH to my online server. R-Sync my life.Only down is battery life too short.

Laptop arrived looking nearly brand new. Runs Win10 great.
Laptop arrived in excellent condition. Well packed. Works well with Win10, not compatible with Win11. Bought this laptop to run Linux Mint, it should work great for this use.Great value for a very nice laptop that will be obsolete soon when Win10 goes out of support. I will enjoy trying out several Linux distributions on this very well made laptop.Followup: I discovered that this laptop IS Win11 compatible if you turn on TPM (Trusted Platform Module) in the BIOS!

Good Laptop
The truth is that I couldn't be more satisfied, they fulfilled what they mentioned, the only bad thing was that the charger doesn't work for me and Windows got corrupted but I changed to Linux, In general I love the computer just for that 2 details but it is a good purchase.

Malware / Virus found + Wrong Charger + No Audio
Complete disappointment and frustration. Needed this product for school and thought it was a pretty good computer for a cheap price. The product that was sent to me was utterly disappointing. The first very obvious red flag was that the charger ports did not fit into each other. I was attempting to fit a square peg into a circular hole. This shows to me that the product went through no type of quality control. Very upsetting. On startup, a new problem persisted. The computer opened with several 'Windows Security Center' warnings. The system had several compromising files. My computer came packaged with the wrong charger but had plenty of malware to chew on. Troubleshooting solved nothing. Several chats with microsoft support solved nothing. I was able to remove several of the virus-filled files but two still persisted. Every time i opened the computer id get several warnings from the Security Center.Of course, that was not the end of it. I later realized that the system outputted no audio unless attached to headphones. Again, microsoft support solved nothing. And Amazon's support center offered no help except for a return.I sadly packaged the product back into its original box. I normally buy all my tech products refurbished. I have never had any issues with my refurbished tech up until this computer. I am extremely disappointed by this product. I see others have had better experiences ordering from this seller. I am glad for them. But for myself, I have had a terrible experience with this computer and received little to no support from any body except for the return process.Best of luck for your purchase.

Awesome laptop
Originally I bought a yoga 11e for around the same price off lenovo.com during a sale. It could barely handle a browser full of tabs so I returned it for this. Much faster experience.I saw some reviews on here saying theirs came with the touchscreen, mine did not, mine has a 1080 60hz display. It does have a fingerprint scanner, which I also noticed some reviews said theirs did not. So I guess it's kind of random what you're going to recieve. The other hardware specs were accurate. Laptop is in A condition, only some small scuff marks on the two bottom front corners, no big deal for the price. Battery is at 90% capacity, which is acceptable.By default this laptops BIOS was not set to work with windows 11, so you may have to enable secure boot and TPM. Then it should update to 11, I had to download an installer from MS to get it going as windows update wasn't suggesting the upgrade.I also reinstalled windows from usb and formatted the ssd, for what that's worth. I suggest doing the same if you're savvy enough, for a completely clean system (besides the Microsoft bloat). You never know.

Fast, lightweight, and excellent battery life for everyday work
I've been using this laptop for two weeks for tasks such as working on documents, browsing the internet, and video calls, and I've been surprised by its efficiency. Here's a photo of how well packaged it arrived.

Nice size, but can't expand memory, and occasional annoyances.
Nice form factor, but unfortunately it's been a bit of a disappointment. Only after receiving it did I realize the memory is soldered to the board, so there is no way to expand it. Also, there have been times where the screen goes black for no apparent reason, sometimes requiring a hard reboot. Oh, and there have been occasions where the keyboard stops working, because it goes into tablet mode, but the solution is easy - just open it all the way then close it all the way, and that puts it back into laptop mode. Just niggling little annoyances like that.
