Do you mean are they actually made from brass? The container they come doesn't state what they are made of but the Book Dart website states that they are precision-cut paper-thin metal in bronze, stainless steel, and brass, which may be just the color. Whatever they're made of they're great. I've used about five containers already and I'm sure I will be ordering more in the future.

Q: Are these all brass or multi-colored?

this package is all brass, if you continue scrolling you will see a package labeled mixed.The mixed contains steel,brass and bronze.I have used book darts for years and they beat bending a page corner.

I believe I ran a razor blade around the side to cut the tape and then I twisted the lid off. The darts are loose inside the velvet-lined container, so they may fly out if you pop it open. But once the tape is released/cut, the container will open easily from then on. In fact, so easily I don't recommend picking it up by just the top...lol

They are made of tin brass. That is brass made from copper, zinc, and tin. This is as opposed to lead brass, which is copper, zinc, and lead. By saying "tin brass," they are letting us know that they are lead free.
