AMAZING BAG!
This bag is just...AWESOME! So much so, I don't really want to use it for what it was intended for. I was looking for a simple, functional bag for work...WOW, I was not expecting all this. It just looks cool, then it has way more compartments than I will ever need. The thing actually transforms into...sigh... just buy it. It's a great size, easy to carry, and looks great. I couldn't be happier with it.

Clever convertible perfect 3 day bag
Found it to be an ideal solution for a long weekend bag, robust enough for the abuse of air travel, quick and easy to switch to pack mode, and with a well-centered load-carrying distribution. Comfortable enough to use as a carry-on, passed several airlines go/no-go gauges, and fits perpendicular in the overhead, critical if you don't want to be THAT traveler. The larger capacity bag has handled a half dozen 3-day trips nicely, both for work which means more gear and electronics, and fun. Construction is excellent, materials are durable, with design features that are logical and restrained.

OK backpack for the money
Pros:Good sizeDecent durabilityAdjustable strapsBig pockets2 handles to grab from the frontComes with cummerbund strapCons:Only 3 zipper pocketsFlabby material (not ridged like the photo shows)No luggage pass through or strap (important for a "travel bag")Minimal padding for laptop and backStandard straps (hurts upper back when pack is loaded)Overall a decent standard feeling bag. My biggest gripe is this really needs to be more ridged and have more padding. It being flimsy and as long as it is, causes me to hunch when using the bag. This causes sore upper back. It does have cummerbund straps but generally won't use it since I'm not going on hikes.

One of the best bags I've ever had.
My mom got me one of these bags to use in high-school. I used it for all four years, two years of college, two years as a wild-land firefighting, 3 years of railroading and counts trips around north America and Mexico. I just retired that bag and got a new one. I'm blown away with the quality of these bags and would recommend this bag and brand to anyone. Thank you

Best backpack for international trips
Took this with me to Japan, I didn’t think it would hold that much but I was so surprised when it held 2 weeks of clothes and bath and body stuff. And still had room for extra stuff if I needed to add more! The straps feel good on your shoulders but the waist strap really helped when running across the airport

Great product
Perfect for what I needed it for. I can fit my small DJ controller in there with no problem.

OK, depending on what’s important to you
This is for the large (40L?) bag.The good:Seems well made & sturdy. Zippers seem like good quality. I liked the way the shoulder straps are fully secured under a flap with a zipper that goes on 3 sides (the 4th side is seen on). There’s also a rain cover. I didn’t try this out, so I’m not sure how well this might work. I certainly wouldn’t put it on & check the bag, since I’m sure it would be lost along the way. What I didn’t like:I failed to pay attention on the opening of the main compartment. The zipper only opens half way, meaning it’s just like a regular backpack. I was looking for a replacement for my carry-on that would also save me some weight. If I have to rummage around blindly in the bottom of the bag, things get messy. The less annoying/bad parts are:There’s a strap with a carabiner (cheap, with ragged edges than can cut you if you’re not careful) on the front. The other end is secured with a push button. I have no clue as to the function of this strap - the ad doesn’t explain/show its use either. There are two handles on the top & bottom of the bag. While this may help with baggage handling, I don’t think it’s necessary (real carry-on don’t have them…) and it adds weight unnecessarily. There are also two little metal eyelets, which look like they might be for venting, but since they’re on a flap in the front, there is nothing to vent.Padding in the main compartment for a laptop is a bit flimsy. There are 4 small cinch straps. I might have put the buckles in the bottom and have the straps go over the front. That could replace the handles and still make sure you can make the bag tight. As others have said, don’t count on this as a hiking backpack - it’s a carry-on.If the manufacturer would address the above issues, it would make a very nice carry-on replacement.
