I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this Epic Pure water filter/dispenser. We've only had it for a short time but so far are really impressed. It's well designed, and is a nice size and very easy to use. So for there have been no issues at all with leaking around the spigot as others have reported (I just followed the instructions to tighten it until snug; then snug a bit more). The main reason for choosing this particular filter is that is supposed to be very effective at reducing both chlorine & chloramines. Our City of Portland tap water is actually quite good but they do use both chlorine & chloramines as disinfectants. Filtering both of these out makes the water taste better and may also have health benefits. In my research I discovered that most water filters (e.g., Brita, etc.) are pretty good at reducing chlorine but it's a bit of a challenge to find one that is effective in reducing chloramines by an appreciable amount. Anyway, I may update this review in the future if anything changes but for now I'd give the Epic Pure filter a rating of "Highly Recommended".

I want water without the chemicals & fluoride. I used reverse osmosis water for several years, but it got to be too much to carry 3 gallons up the stairs.I tried another brand of filtering pitcher. It was slow & filter quit working after 2 weeks.This is lovely. It holds the right amount for a day or two, is quick, easy and convenient. Just right on the countertop. Water tastes good as well. Very happy.

I purchased this filter and per the instructions, I made sure to tighten the spigot all the way before using it. Even though I had it fully tightened, it leaks CONSTANTLY. So much so that I would fill it all the up in the morning and then would go to fill my water bottle half way through the day and there was no water left in the filter because it had all leaked out, into my fridge. SO frustrating. The leaking is frustrating on its own and a mess, but on top of that it's very frustrating that due to the leaking there's never enough water in the filter to even use. I will be asking for a full refund as this is extremely disappointing. Save your money and go with a better brand - I promise this one is not worth it.

This is perfection. I love the circular slide top for adding water. The flip faucet feels sturdy and smooth. The water tastes fan-flipping-tastic. I put mine by my recliner to encourage me to dtink more water. Mission accomplished.

Makes good water from Hard City water that starts with a high chlorine content. Test strips shows the chlorine and other contaminates removed.There was a problem with the lid of the unit I got. Their customer service replaced it right away and I have no further issues.Some wrote of leaking issues with the spicket, but I followed the directions and had no issues.I've only had it about a month so not sure how long the filter will last yet.

Love the number of things filtered with this product! (One of the reasons I bought this product) Was easy to wash & assemble, easy to fill. Some reviews indicated the unit leaks however I’ve not experienced that- the rubber seal on spigot needs to be placed correctly and tightened so that may have been the issue seen by others who have purchased. Spigot is close to bottom so can empty entire container. I have it on counter & slide to edge when I use, but could easily fit on fridge shelf & pour without needing to move container. The sliding lid makes refilling a breeze. The only negative is that the digital screen doesn’t work. Filters are kind of pricey but I don’t need to replace often. Unit itself was $69, which isn’t bad considering the smaller pitcher version was $60 & was <half the capacity. So far, so good- I recommend & will update my review if any issues. Only reason for 4 vs 5 is that the digital screen doesn’t work.

I’m very impressed with this product. I have been using it for over a year now. I’m glad I didn’t pinch my pennies when looking for an effective filter, especially since water is the most important thing I put in my body. I have complete peace of mind, knowing so much more is filtered than I would with a brita. So long chemicals, PFAS, chlorine, fluoride, hard minerals, etc. My tap water tastes HORRIBLE, and boy does the filter put in the work. I have saved so much money since I stopped buying water bottles. One filter lasts 90 days, or 150 gallons. Sustainably designed, easy to use, clean quality water, great value for your money. Beyond impressed and will continue to support this product.

On the positive side, the water tastes clean and pure just as it is supposed to. However, it is confounding why they built cheap on the spigot. The plastic spigot leaks, which makes it impossible to put in the fridge or on the counter without a drip catch of some sort. They even send a little note saying to tighten, really tighten, the spigot over the silicone gasket. Doesn't matter. It leaks. For the price, they could have factory installed a spigot and sealed it. I might need to get some silicone caulk or plumbers tape to see if can be sealed.
