Excellent Alternative
This is a perfect chair for in and out trips. It is lightweight, but totally sturdy and easily maneuverable. With the smaller wheels, the brakes are down low in the back but still accessible. We bought it to use for short trips when we want to drive our sports car, and a folding chair is required and a wheelchair would be safer and easier than a cane. However, it may not be the best chair for a heavy person for outdoor use on rough surfaces or grass, since the wheels are smaller. Subsequently, we left our full-size chair in the back of our SUV for those times when larger wheels are safer and easier for the terrain. We rely upon the Elite Care for trips that have smoother areas of use because it is so easy to move in and out of the vehicle. We also made it our full-time in-house chair for super-easy use on hardwood floors.

Excellent chair, but bag could use backstraps
The wheelchair is quite good. It is easy to set up and can really take a pounding. We used it in Italy where there were many cobblestone streets and had no problems. I do recommend that you get a wheelchair pad, if the person you are transporting will be in it for long periods. The one weakness of the unit is the bag. It is not all that strong and already has a few holes in it. The wheelchair, while very light for a wheelchair, is heavy (20 lbs.). We eventually bought a duffel bag with backpack straps. It is now much easier to carry this way. Overall, a good purchase at a reasonable price.

Simple setup, sturdy chair
First impressions: this is a great chair! It's very easy to fold out and back in with only the foot rests being separate parts. This the first time I buy a wheelchair so keep that in mind, but I am very pleased with how little space it takes up. I can put this in any trunk, closet, nook or cranny, and it's fairly light weight. I have no problem picking it up to carry it it's case.I have not taken this chair on rough terrain or outside pavement. I'll try to update if that situation becomes necessary.

This works out great for our purposes
We needed something lightweight for my wife to be able to take her mother out on the town. Even the lightweight wheel chairs would take up the entire back seat. This works out great for our purposes. It fits easily in the trunk. My wife said that it is easy to do but still work to take it out and put it back. When I saw pictures of my mother in law at the mall at a restaurant and later at a coffee shop, it is all worth it. We also purchased a pad and a wheel chair bag to hold purses, water bottles, etc. I saw the review about the foot rest not being adjustable. I haven't tried it and I understand. Good to know if this is for a tall person. For our purposes, perfect.

foot rest issue solved
The light weight ease of this product is juat as advertized. However, my mom is 64 inches in height and the foot rests are uncomfortably high. I followed the instructions that said to losen the nut at the bottom of the pipe but the tube would not budge. Fortunately, one of the rests came down on its own (to my mom's surprise) and after seeing how it worked I took a rubber mallet and gave the other end nut a good bash as if to shorten the length and it released too. I set them to the correct length then tightened the nuts. This little light weight chair VERY quickly and EASILY folds up and fits in the hatch of my mini cooper with the seat folded down. My mom can reach the brakes and really enjoys the ride!

disappointed
we bought this for my mother in law. She can no longer walk any distance at all and I'm the one that takes her just about everywhere that she needs to go although she rarely gets out much anymore. I needed something smaller and more lightweight than a regular wheelchair as I am getting older and it's difficult for me to get a wheelchair in and out and set up for her to use. We took this with us to my son's military graduation the end of July 2017. This was the first time it was used. We used is on a Thursday and a Friday as we walked around the National Infantry Museum and then to the graduation. Then I used it again in October when I took her to a furniture store to pick out a new couch. My mother in law isn't a large woman and the seat is already pulling away from the large bolt/button things used to hold the seat in the frame. It is lighter than a regular wheelchair, which is good, and I don't always have to fold it up. I can slide it into the back of my suburban as is, so that's a pro. But I can see that the seat won't last through many more trips

This is an awesome little chair
This is an awesome little chair. I bought it for my godmother who has issues with her right foot and cannot walk long distances without pain. We like to spend time together at the mall, so this chair makes this possible again. It is basically an X-frame folding chair with handles and wheels. Folds up and stores nicely in its bag in less than 2 minutes (I timed it). It is very light. Anyone can set up and break down, it's as easy as one of the lawn chairs. I love it. For the price you could not ask for more.
