Great product
I just recieved this ipod docking station today. I bought it for my wife for Christmas. She has been asking for something small like an alarm clock style docking station but I did some research and found this one. I took it out of the box before she got home and tried it with my iphone 3gs. It was awesome. This thing has a lot of sound, powerful bass but not overpowering, volume levels would be great for parties, or for what she wanted it for, background music while she is home cleaning up around the house and doing laundry. I was not able to check out the bluetooth functions or the remote, but from what I heard from Pandora on a docked iphone I would highly recommend this product.

A Great Unit!
This item arrived very quickly, so kudos for that as well. I purchased this to have outdoor music at a party. I was quite surprised at the quality of the audio...crisp, clear, nice bass. I am not an audiophile, and wasn't looking for an upper end system for my party, but for the money this is a great player. My ONE complaint is that I would have preferred an all black unit, but it plays so well I'll overlook that.

Docking station for all purposes
Bought this gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They really love it. They use it for their iphone, ipod touch, and nano! Plus it is playing music and charging the devices all at the same time. They have it in their kitchen/dining area where it's convenient.

I was looking for a docking station that had a good sound and was reasonably priced. This Pioneer system is great, I would recommend it to any of my friends.

Many features for a reasonable price
I have had one of the XW-NAC1-K units for about 6 months now. You have to look past the iPod compatibility to see where this little unit shines.First off you need a decent home network system. There is an Ethernet port on the back. If you don't have a wired connection there are some good wireless bridges available that will let you link to your router. It does not do wireless natively. If you can achieve a network connection then you can do some really cool stuff.Internet radio lets you stream music from anywhere in the world. You can save stations to a favorites folder to easily come back to them. The unit has a limited display so don't expect some nice big graphic of the world to pick music. It is more difficult, scrolling by region, then country, then music type. It is hit and miss.If you have set up a network drive you can pour all of your music into it and the unit will recognize the network drive and your Artist/Album folders. You can listen to thousands of songs from your library. You have to scroll to the folder you want and pick the appropriate album or song folderIt has built in Bluetooth so with an iPod, iPhone, iPad you can go to your music folder and then stream the music to the player, controlling the music from your hand held device. The sound is fairly good. It will fill a bedroom or small office or kitchen nicely. Don't expect thunderous sound. This thing has never crashed on me.I also bought this guys big brother X-SMC4-K Music Tap from Pioneer. It is significantly more expensive and bigger. It is problematic and very temperamental. It will freeze up in the middle of playing a song from my network drive which totally paralyzes the unit requiring a complete restart that can take up to 5 minutes. Some people rave about Pioneer but I have my doubts. They try to pack a lot of features into their units. This looks great on the surface. In reality their circuit boards seem to be problematic and prone to failing more so than other companies in their class.I bought a new VSX-53 Pioneer receiver that turned out to be a piece of junk.Of the 3 Pioneer pieces I own the XW-NAC1-K is the least expensive but performs the best. Go figure.

I looked for 2 days and it came down to the Bose for $269 or this for $129. I truly think the the NAC1 is every bit as good as the higher priced units plus it does not distort at reasonably high volume. The champ is the BW system but that bad boy is $600 now that is a lot! You can shop around or take my advice and save time and money, think about that.
