St James of London Pre-shave Oil

So far I've only used AOS shaving oil. First try with St James and I'm pleasantly surprised. There is a very nice scent and it provides a slick surface for the blade to glide. It's definitely is a step up from AOS in the world of shaving oils, but I get the feeling better products may exist.

I just love St James of London products. The shave oil is the latest addition to my luxury shaving routine. Wonderful feeling and performance from using the oil. You don't have to use much either so it lasts a very long time even for a daily shaver.

Not a bad product. However, the description was unscented a that is not what was delivered. Others had the same comment in their review.

Fragrance of refreshing, and doesn't bother my sensitive skin. It's a very light texture so your blade doesn't get hung up on it.

Mine showed up as Mandarin and Patchouli. The item title doesn't say that, nor does the description. Even the bottle doesn't, only the box. After using it, it is definitely Mandarin and Patchouli. Not necessarily a bad thing; it's a fine scent and the product works amazingly, I just would have preferred some of the other scents St. James of London offers, especially the Sandalwood and Bergamot. One star off for the unexpected scent, but I will still keep it and use it because it does its job so well.

My regular pre electric shave oil (Zehr) is impossible to find so I ordered this. It is very thick in consistency and comes in a spray bottle. Not practical and when I used with shaving cream, it leaves a thick residue.

Smells fantastic! Size is much larger than I anticipated.

this stuff is amazing. you don't need any soap. just apply a few drops and shave.
