Pulled some of the wording from my mesotrione review from this same company, where I used this dye with the meso and the surfactant too:...."Another thing I want to add is that for my 1 gallon sprayer, I used half a teaspoon of the Mesotrione, following as accurately as possible the mixing instructions, and also did follow the surfactant and dye instructions too, though I accidentally tipped the measuring-pouring tip combo too much on the dye product and more came out into my sprayer bottle. Well, that turned out still to be helpful anyway to increase the easy view of where I was spraying, and it only dyed my sidewalk a little bit, which faded very well over the next few days too and washed off better with some sprinkling going on.Overall, all 3 of these products were great results to me, and there is enough of each of them left for probably years to come, since I don't have a large area of crabgrass to even treat."

The container is the most important feature. Blue dye is a mess when there is even a small spill. Without an integrated measurement container, pouring can result in spills that are a super headache to clean up. Blue dye isn't special but the container is. Buy this for the bottle it comes in.

it does what it says it does, turns your spray blue. but it also turns everything it touches blue mostly because the bottle is pretty nonsensical though, as the measuring side immediately turns blue and you can't see how much you've got in there, and when you tilt it to pour more comes up from the bottom and you're using too much product and likely have it all over your hands. product is great but the bottle gets dinged a star for these issues.

I was shocked at how much easier this made the job of spot treating for weeds. Since I could mark the weeds I'd treated, it enabled to focus much more clearly on places that I knew for sure I had not already been. Doesn't seem like that would make a big difference, but for me...it did.I did use the product at a pretty strong mix. 1 ounce for a gallon, versus the suggested 1/2 ounce. Thus, your spots may not be quite this blue!

OK, I've composed myself after reading *multiple* comments from people angry because the dye didn't kill the weeds. 😂 Maybe try reading comprehension classes?So - OK, yes. It does the job of showing exactly where you've sprayed. Also, it was hot so I decided to forego gloves, and then found out how horribly designed the bottle is. Lesson learned, will just use food coloring next time AND never assume anything about a product.BTW, that didn't all come off even after intense scrubbing and days. The skin around my nails and under nails is still quite blue. Going into public is rather embarrassing about now, though I'm laughing at my friend's suggestion of telling people I tried to rob a bank and the money bag blew (blue? 🤣) its dye.Purchase and assume the risks!!
