Great product
Instructions are good, installation was easy (but a challenge to do so two people are definitely recommended), seems to be very sturdy and best of all, the customer support is fantastic

Perfect for our Use Case!
This pet safe sliding glass door security bar was exactly what we needed. I installed a doggy door on one of our sliding class doors. With that doggy door, there wasn't a way for us to lock the sliding glass door. I instaled this security bar as well as another locking mechanize.PROS: This security bar was very easy to install. I like how we can lift it off and it hangs there conveniently. I like the strength of the security bar as it is pretty thick. It really works great. The bar is adaptable and you can shorten it or make it longer for your custom needs.CONS: Not much to be honest. Seems great to me.Overall, I happy with it. 5/5. would order again if I needed to.

Very strong.
I installed a doggy door on my sliding glass door and then was not able to lock it. This little bar added the security I needed. You can’t open the door at all. I would even use this on locked windows and doors for that extra security.

Bracket may not fit
My issue was the bracket did not fit inside the door frame to secure the lock in place. I have it rigged up but it's not secure like it should be.

Plastic hardware
I had hoped that this security bar sold by a well known company would be sturdy enough daily use. I had no trouble installing it, that went well and easy. However, about 2 weeks after installing it the PLASTIC piece that is the hinge hardware broke rendering the bar basically worthless. The bar wasn't abused or pulled out of its intended path nor was it exposed the sunlight. I supposed I can order a new PLASTIC hinge piece but finding and ordering from a company that uses metal hardware will be better in the long run.

Slider solution
Was not sure what to do about dog door. When I only have sliders in back. Took a chance on this. Did not work for my vinyl doors, which have a concave directly over the track divider. I was able to modify to make it work. Bought different brackets, weather strip for where the door meets the insert, and a bar lock. Now works perfectly. I feel secure enough. Dog comes and goes all day. I am 63, 4'11'. Completed alone. Not easy but, worth it.

The bracket _will_ break. :(
Does the job well, is easy to install, and can still be used after that back bracket breaks. I would be AMAZING if replacement parts were available but they are not so that's not amazing at all. We have multiple petsafe products in the house and this is the only one I'm not over the moon with.I ... kinda still recommend this product as it does work. Just think of it as you're buying a $20 extendable bar and the brackets are free.

Does what it says
If you purchase a cat door for your slider, this is a must. It anchors the position of the door that no longer locks if you are having to remove the cat door once in a while.
