My son loves this!
This was the number one thing that my 6 year old wanted for Christmas this year!He already had the castle, the dragon, and lots of knights and horses but all of our stores were out of the Ogre. I was very pleased to find it here as a Prime item for several dollars LESS even than the big box discount stores. My little boy was so excited to open this and has played with it almost every day. He's even asked to sleep with it! I have 8 children, five of which are sons, and we are just huge Imaginext fans. My six year old is playing with Imaginext toys we bought when my 18 year old was little! This Eagle Talon Castle line takes it to the next level with the sound effects and interaction. I'm not a big fan of noise-making or electronic toys as I prefer my children to use their imagination, but in this case the sound effects really do add to the fun. It's not unusual to see my 4 year old daughter, 6 year old son, and 10 year old daughter all gathered around playing with these toys and they are ALL so glad to finally have a "bad guy ogre" to round out the play.

Ogre Smash!
This big green Ogre was the highlight of Christmas for my little Imaginext fan. The Orge comes with a club that can fit in either hand. One hand can open and close to hold any Imaginext figure. He even has a Imaginext figure craved out in his foot so he can step on a figure and store him in his foot. The ability to stash a figure in his foot was a big hit for my little dude. The Orge has a big handle on the back so he can be carried around and to use a big trigger that raises his arms and makes him growl. If you put a figure in his mouth, push the tongue, he makes chewing noises. He came with a dvd for a silly little Imaginext story that highlights other toys and this Ogre.If your little imaginext player loves this line of toys and you want a big old green Ogre in the house, then grab this guy!!

I wish I had this toy when I was a kid
This is one of the coolest toys I have ever purchased for my 3 year old son. Fisherprice, as usual, has made a very durable and fun toy. I like that it interacts with the castle too. The spring loaded grip on the hand is strong enough to actually hold on to other smaller objects like a knight or anything else that will fit in it. One thing to note about this ogre is that it is a lot bigger than I was expecting. To give you an idea of how big it is, if you have the dragon that goes with this Eagle Talon Castle set it seems to be a little bigger than the dragon. Not much bigger though. It's big! But it's not too big or too heavy for a 3 year old to pick up and play with. Fisherprice has made this light enough to be easy for kids to play with, but heavy/sturdy enough to take the pounding a 3 year old boy will dish out on it. Great toy! Highly recommend.

Quality fun, mostly when used with Castle
This well-constructed toy makes some sounds (roars, groans) on its own and interacts with the Imaginext Castle. When the Ogre is in proximity of the Castle, an unseen person in the Castle calls out warnings about the Ogre, which is really cool and introduces a new dimension of play. My kindergarten and second-grade sons have played for countless hours with this toy plus the Castle and other non-Imaginext items they have added, such as Lincoln Logs and little counting bears and toy soldiers and "jewels". The Ogre is pretty large. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that I wish it could make even more sounds (and the Castle could say more phrases). This toy would not have nearly the play value without the Castle, though, so don't let the rating sway you unless you get the Castle, too.

Huge hit with both my children!
My 4 year old son got the castle and matching ogre for Christmas and it was probably the biggest hit of our Christmas toys. The ogre and the castle actually talk to each other. It's pretty awesome. My daughter is 7 and she loved playing with it just as much as my 4 year old son. And when it came to spending the money they got for Christmas, my son then bought (with his own money) the matching dragon. So they have all three pieces now. One child acts as the ogre, the other acts as the dragon. It's great to find toys that the two of them enjoy playing with together. Especially since my son is such a video game enthusiast. I love seeing him play with things that are more interactive and don't involve a screen so i was thrilled that this toy, along with the matching castle and dragon, pulled him away from the tv screen.

BEST TOY IN YEARS
Fisher price is on top of their game with this one. I have felt that their products have gone downhill in recent years, but this toy is really something special. I actually get into playing with this myself, whereas most toys my 2 year old plays with are underwhelming and you kind of have to force yourself to play. My 3 year old daughter enjoys it as well. We have the whole set with the castle, dragon, ogre etc. and it's really something. In terms of clever design and fun, it is exceptional. It is also very durable, but I do worry about the thin hinged walls on the castle. It is rather pricey, but definitely worth it to see my kids finally engaged in something they find exciting and playing with it correctly.

Why I hate it
I hate it due to the fact that Amazon or whoever made up this rating page is full of horse manure.I dislike anyone telling me I have to praise their product using so many words. I can tell you I either like or dislike it without any explanation. If I think this is a really great item I would tell you why. I purchase to give gifts or for resale and hate this BS.I will not give feedback to anyone else on [email protected]
