These pillowcases are a silk-satin. That means that the inside of the pillowcase is dull and not super smooth, but the outside, where we place our skin and hair, is super satiny smooth. I have curly hair, and noticed after I got my first silk pillowcase that I could take a nap (not a usual activity for me), and when I got up, my curls were not a disaster like they are when I sleep on a cotton pillowcase.I ordered a purple one first, which was more of a dull aubergine, but still technically purple. I dye my hair purple, and the first week after the dye job (oVertone, great product) there is some color transfer on my white cotton pillowcases, but it washes out. So if the purple dye transfers to a purple silk pillow case, no big deal. So I got a second one.Finally, I decided to get a pair of white silk pillowcases. These are just as wonderful as the purple ones.I hand washed them and let them drip dry from soaking wet. I did press them because I am just like that. They are so fluid and liquid. Since I just got the white ones, I haven't had a chance to put them on my pillow, but tonight is the night.I sleep well on these, and my curls are still nice in the morning, which says to me that less damage is happening to my hair.The zipper on all 4 of my cases has been very functional and sturdy, so no complaints there.Let's talk about caring for these items. They ARE silk, and silk is fussy and the fibers will break in the washer and especially the dryer. If you choose to wash them like that, you should know what will happen.My silk cases have stained a bit from my nighttime moisturizer and the remnants of my eyeliner. (I probably wear too much, but I wear makeup for me, no one else.) Sometimes I will treat the eyeliner with blue Dawn, but it doesn't always work. But I knew this would happen, so I will live with it. My bedroom is not a public place, so if the pillowcases are not perfect, who cares? I use them for my face and my curls.Finally, I must say this. I have seen reviews with photos, and the photos show pillowcases ON THE PILLOW still with the shipping folds in the fabric. It looks like the buyer just took the pillowcase out of the package and put it on the pillow without washing it. Please don't do that. When any fiber item is made, whether a garment or a towel or bedding, the factory does NOT wash the fabric. The fabric is woven/spun/knitted, and put on bolts; the bolts are shipped to the factory where the item is made. The item is cut and sewn, then shipped to the vendor who ships it to the buyer. At no point is the fabric washed. That is why you should always wash anything that comes in contact with your skin: towels, bedding, underwear, etc. The factories, especially in China, do not put much effort into cleanliness.Rant over.These are great pillowcases. They are good for my skin and protect my purple curls.

This is true to every description and quality described. Fabric is soft, smooth, cooling, and wrinkles hardly at all. The advantage to your hair and skin is noticeable in one use - but even more each morning when you wake up. I had ordered three colors. They are exact color of pictures shown with a richness to the shine and feel. They arrive in individual sealed bags inside a sturdy beige envelope each separately. I plan on ordering for holiday gifts they are gift-able small packages. Do follow care instructions as should be hand washed & line/hanger dried. Never in dryer to maintain texture and longevity. I have had before from other brands in past years but this exceeds in luxury & quality! Value for money spent. You deserve to treat yourself! It’s hard to surprise me but the difference in your hair and skin is REAL!

I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’ve tried "silky" pillowcases before that ended up being cheap polyester. But this one is the real deal — smooth, breathable, and it feels luxurious against the skin. I’ve noticed less frizz in my hair when I wake up, and my face doesn’t feel as dry or creased in the mornings.The color (Haze Blue) is beautiful and subtle — it looks just like the photo. The hidden zipper is a nice touch too because it keeps the pillowcase in place without any annoying flaps or bunching.It’s a bit of a splurge for one pillowcase, but the quality really stands out. I’ve already washed it a few times on delicate and let it air dry, and it’s holding up perfectly. I’ll definitely be ordering another one.

update 5/22: There's no difference in a fact or benefit between the 16 mme and the 19 mme. The 19 MMA is slicker with a satin finish. But both are cool and both keep my hair frizz free over days .Original review : Thread count is a meaningless measurement when you're buying silk. Momme Is the standard. These are 16 mme, and while the silk is nice and thick and sturdy, it's not a slippery satiny finish. However, despite that, it does make a great improvement in my hair. I can go to bed without any cap or covering and my very curly hair can be frizz-free for days. Try that with polyester satin! Another benefit is that it stays cool, which I was not expecting .I'm going to buy another silk pillowcase but this time,19 momme in another brand which has gotten high reviews for its satiny finish. To go to 22 momme means shelling out 50 bucks or more for one pillowcase. I'm hoping the 19 does the trick.

This is a great, silky pillowcase. It's just the perfect size for standard pillows and easy to wash. Some people said it shouldn't be put in dryer, but I did it by mistake without any issues. I would recommend, especially for damaged hair, as it's less friction than cotton pillow cases and there's less hair loss and dryness. Some people say it's good for cooling but I don't find that to be true at all. I just flip the pillow when it gets too warm.

I LOVE THESE!!! When i wake up i can feel my hair softer and smoother the color is just as expected and fold lines showed for a little but after a while they were gone. The zipper is life changing it holds it in place which i super nice for someone who likes to move in their sleep and material is super nice! The quality is super soft and the silk helps my hair so much

Didn’t think I’d care about pillowcases, but these are legit. Super soft, stay cool all night, and my hair isn’t a wreck in the morning. Skin feels better too. Quality is solid and they actually feel kind of fancy in a chill way. Honestly feels like a low-effort life upgrade I didn’t know I needed.
