Steamworld Collection - Wii U

SteamWorld Collection for Wii U ships with two games: SteamWorld Dig and SteamWorld Heist. Both were developed by the excellent Image & Form. Both games are somewhat short but are very much worth playing.SteamWorld Dig is an excellent Metroidvania-type game and is my personal favorite of the two. Enter Rusty, who's rolled into town and inherited the deed to his uncle's mine. Excavate ore and dig ever deeper to uncover what sleeps beneath the depths of Tumbleton. Exchange your ore for gold coins that will buy upgrades to allow you to dig and explore more efficiently. Uncover mysterious upgrades as you dig that improve and alter Rusty's steambot exterior. Most enemies are somewhat simple to deal with, but I found the mining experience both relaxing and addicting. This game isn't particularly difficult.SteamWorld Heist sees the player step into the shoes of Captain Piper, smuggler and occasional pirate, and her unique crew of steambots. What starts as a turf war with marauding bandits escalates into a mission to save the galaxy. This is best described as a tactical RPG with shooting elements; guns must be angled in such a way so that bullets can directly hit or ricochet to their intended targets. Each stage is procedurally generated, ensuring each playthrough never feels quite the same. There are many equipment and support item options that can be obtained within stages as loot as well as bought in the game's overworld. There are various difficulty modes, so the game can be as easy or as hard as you wish. I do wish there had been more character development.

Steam world dig is an Awesome game!!!!I already played it and solved it after buying it on the eshop!! I have played it on the 3DS and the Wiiu, it is fun on any system.I bought this copy to try the Steam World Heist and to have a physical copy to use on our second Wii U.Solved the game in a short time. In fact the game was too short for me, but this package has Steamworld heist as an added bonus.I would say get Steamworld Dig on any system if you enjoy this type of game. For me it is what I have been waiting for since dig dug!!!Now Steam World Dig 2 will come out soon for the switch... I can't wait!

This is a very good strategy game. You can form your own team, and fight the villains. Each characters has different skills, and there are different equipments suit for different purpose. You can adjust the difficulty to enjoy the game or conquer the challenge. Some stage need you to escape in certain rounds, and some ask you to save the hostage. The most fun part is the boss stage. The only pity thing is the game ends so quick, looking forward to the next DLC.

Awesome game in one package. Highly recommend this at the $20 price point. You get two games for the price of one and you don't have to download them on your Wii U's limited storage. This may be one of the last physical releases for the Wii U and some day be a collector's item.

Love the game, but don't try to buy the add-ons . The playstation storeadd-ons won't work on the dual disk and playstation will return your money once as a "one time courtesy" which means if you buy something else in the future, you can kiss your money goodbye,so choose wisely .

The games are as described and arrived sooner than expected. My son is very happy with them.

SteamWorld Heist and SteamWorld Dig are two of the absolute best games I've played in the last decade. They're great on Nintendo 3DS, and every bit as enjoyable on a big screen via the Wii U. Essential for any fan of strategy, action, and "Metroidvania" games.

One part, a platforming tactical strategy game, the other a keep digging deeper Metroidvania game. I don't typically enjoy SRPGS and really bought this for Dig, but after finishing dig I started Heist and I'm loving it. Excellent package and being in physical form it contains the DLC for Heist.

Gran trabajo, muy original principalmente Heist. Si gustan de juegos tipo Valkyria Chronicles este le spuede interesar, el arte es precioso.

Was a fun and addicting game but was also pretty repetitive, good for one play through though

Absolutely fantastic bundle, two mustplay games in one. Be a disservice to yourself to not play these sublime games.
