Retired System Engineer, Space Program.Spent very little time "fine" tuning the mechanism and sent the first bottle up several hundred feet. The simple design is ingenious.Recommend using fins and modifying the bottle for aerodynamics and >500 feet with about 45+ psi is obtainable. Also recommend launching within a large field as we met some of our neighbors to retrieve our first couple bottle rocket launching from their back yards.Just a little common mechanical skill for fine tuning, finding the best water bottles and/or the use rolled up sand paper to get a good fit and this launcher performs great.Thank you

These worked great for our Boy Scout event--the boys loved it. Worked with most bottles, but not all. We mounted them on a piece of plywood under the foamboard to add strength. We did stake them down as suggested, but the stakes kept coming up--will need to relook at the staking next time.

Bought for a bottle rocket set-up for Cub Scouts. Works great and very easy to use. Great design. Suggest to weigh down the base as it will tip occasionally from force of rockets.

Bought this for a summer camp to teach the kids the physics of how bottle rockets work. This rig worked great! A minor issue is that sometimes its a REAL tight fit for the bottle used and thus required a bit of force. Otherwise the product worked like it was intended to.

It did not lock the bottle under pressure. I adjusted the lock position, changed between soda bottle types (Coke, Sprite..) and all other suggested adjustments. It would unlock after 20 psi. The locking unit needs to have sight lip to hold under higher pressure.

Awesome product. I've purchased four of these launchers for my science and math students. Excellent tool for teaching velocity and height. We've done about a hundred launches and have had no issues.

The launcher is easy for students to use with their rockets. As a teacher this is very important with the number of trials that we need to do and it helps to make the process go so much quicker.
