Wanted to get back into ink art with my kids. This has a good variety of nibs and a decent pen. Would recommend getting additional ink.

I haven't used it yet but it appears to be everything I could have asked for for doing pen and ink!!!!

I'm new to dip pens, so I wanted to get something inexpensive with which to practice. The good points of this set are that the pen holder feels great in the hand, the ink is outstanding (I wish I knew what kind it was), and the nibs stay in the holder well. That being said, I could only write with the nib that looks like a fountain pen nib using the included ink. With every other ink I tried, writing was impossible, even though the nib was loaded with ink. I tried diluting the ink, thickening the ink, and adding more ink, and still the nib wouldn't write. I tried using another of the included nibs, and the only way I could get it to make a mark was to put a lot of pressure in it. I prepared both nibs using the various methods I found online several times, because I read that unless you clean off the factory coating, the nib won't write well. After more than half a dozen cleanings though, the factory coating should be off, so I'm not sure why these nibs don't write well, but they don't, except with the included ink.

This Pens is wonderfull for both beginners and seasoned artist, the quality is good and comfortable to use, it has a nice weight, and the extra nibs gives you more choice and range, i am really pleased with my purchase, it arrived on time, and i had no problems, and can definately recommend this seller and their product.Thanks Greg

I loved it a lot, a perfect gift for beginners. I love that it comes with so many different tips, and the ink is great and dries fast. My only complain would be that after some use my favorite tip got warped and does not work as well, but for the price I still think it is worth it!
