10sets Glasses Hinge Universal, Wayfarer Plastic Frame, for Plastic Frames, Sunglasses, Eyeglass Repairing Replacement Hinges

I've been looking all over for tiny hinges to use in miniatures.These are the smallest I've found that ALSO work *smoothly*.NOTE!The double-ringed pieces hav a Top and a Bottom, and the screws ***only*** fit if installed into the *top*.I had to look under magnification at first.The difference is that the Top loop is a bit more "donut"-shaped/rounded and shinier, and has a larger hole than the bottom; the bottom loop is noticeably flatter, not quite as shiny, and the hole is smaller.The screws have a very slightly flared shape, so that the wider part is nearest the screw head.The single-loop hinge pieces seem to be all the same; the single loop seems to fit between all of the double-looped ends regardless of where the top is. But the screw ONLY fits if it's inserted, and screwed down into, the top.I found it easier to insert the screws if I put a wire or a very small drill bit through the holes closest to the looped end, slid the two halves together, and then used a magnetized mini-screwdriver to pick up the screw and position it.

Have no complaints. Item was sent on time. I also received a few extra items; which I thought was very considerate. Unfortunately, it did not work to fix my sunglasses - So I had to return the item. Had no issues returning & receiving the refund.Happy Overall!

I assumed the screws it came with would be both for the hinge (where the two sides join) AND the mounting screws. The screws in the package do hold the hinges together, but they do not fit in the mounting holes. I have no idea what size/type of screw fits the mounting holes.

There are enough sets to make 10 pairs of glasses. I originally wanted a wider hinge, but there was a delivery timing issue so I bought these instead. They work for my project, but you must pay attention to the details because there are two different shapes. This is because there is a left and a right set of hinges for each pair of glasses you are making. Not only are the double loop pieces left and right, but so are the single looped pieces. As another reviewer mentioned, on the double looped pieces the top has the larger opening on the top of the loop that funnels to a smaller opening. This allows the screw head to partially inside. The top loop does not have threads and the bottom loop has threads. The single loop side is slightly different and it is tough to differentiate (see pics - I held one of each type in my calipers to help you see the difference). That, and the fact that the screws are slotted (I would have preferred phillips head screws) are the reasons I deducted a star. I hope my pics help you get a better sense of these hinges.It really helps to have a magnifier you don’t need to hold, or a magnifying visor.

I think I would have preferred the hinges already assembled. I found it a bit hard trying to find the appropriate screw for the hinge vs the right screws for application. But that could be user error and because the pieces are tiny. Other than that, I was able to salvage/fix my favorite pair of sunglasses and get more life out of them!

Works. But gets wobbly. Needs additional heavy duty glue.
