If you notice, every review is about taste...We get it—protein powder taste is big. But c'mon, choke it down.The REAL great thing about Trutein is the ingredient profile. TOO MANY people drink whey protein as meal replacements.That's a horrible idea. Whey just digests too fast to replicate an actual meal. You basically NEED slower digesting proteins IF you want to have this at random times during the day. Basically, whey is just good post workout when you NEED digestion fast.But Trutein has whey, egg and casein, basically mimicking a meal digestion. Great for a shake during the day with some almonds.Its very hard to find protein-mix powders that are decently priced and/or have a good profile. Too many add gross soy protein isolate as well.Trutein is leaps and bounds better than the competition. THAT'S why it gets 5 stars. Oh yeah, and it tastes pretty good too.

I bought as much of the "sample" sizes i could to try out as much flavors as possible b/c once you buy a tub & open it, well, u know. And i have to say of ALL the 10 flavors, the banana creme - WOW - & u don't have to put a lot of the powder like the others & i already taste the bananas. Other protein brands don't even compare in banana flavor. The 2nd runner up is the lemon meringue & the rest, all even. What i noticed w/ the rest, red velvet, smores, mocha, strawberry creme, salt n caramel, etc. i have to use 1/2 the sample bag to get the flavor out. W/ the banana, maybe 1 full tablesp., lemon meringue, 2 tbs. I wish most brands would provide sample bags like this brand b/c it's the way to go before you buy a 2 or 4lb tub. The powder itself i had no problems w/ blending, i NEVER do nhow, as long as i use my Nutribullet. Otherwise, shaking it violently yourself just doesn't cut it! NO matter what protein brand u use.

So far I’ve tried a few different flavors. I’ve ordered:Banana creamPeanut butter chocolateStrawberry creamAnd the peanut butter marshmallow but it wasn’t sent, and I received the natural PB chocolateI’ve used a plethora of protein powders over the past 20 years. Mostly due to dietary restrictions, and overall health and fitness goals in mind. I love the blend concept, just still trying to find a good brand so I don’t have to mix it all myself and have a ton of stuff lying around.Banana cream (7/10) is good, I add Greek yogurt and a banana w ice and it makes it really good.Chocolate peanut butter (3/10) is ok, but kinda has a medicine taste to it. The natural version is even worse. I add powder PB to both but it doesn’t get rid of that aftertaste. I doubt I’ll buy either one again.Strawberry cream (8 or 9/10) is amazing!!! I’ve tried about every strawberry protein and believe me I was sick to death of strawberry, vanilla and chocolate when I tried these. But this one is pretty damn good! It tastes like something you’d expect from a big chain juice bar. My kids even like the taste.I will continue to try other flavors. Might buy the sample packs, and go from there. I also want to try some other brands to compare, but I’m pretty impressed. It’s a little more per tub and you get about a lb less than a normal whey, BUT you also don’t know what you get anymore and it seems most are amino dumping and filling product with junk fillers.Had some hiccups on my last order, but it seems to have been resolved. The seller really came through even though it seemed to have been mistakes on someone else’s part. I really admire companies that take accountability even when it’s not their fault, so that deserves an honorable mention.

This protein is a game changer. I've been all over when trying different protein. From all ON products, BSN, MuscleTech and so much more. This protein's ingredient profile is awesome. Low in all the bad stuff (sugar,cholesterol,sodium,carbs) High in all the good stuff. I also like the nice little blend of protein it offers.The part I usually look over is the taste. BSN was hands down the best tasting before this. BSN's nutritional profile isn't nearly as good. This stuff has tiny little marshmallows in it and taste like one of those packets of hot chocolate. I mix with unsweetened almond milk and it's unbelieveable how good it tastes considering the nutritional profile. A bit tough to mix but all the pros far out way that part.I've ordered a ton of samples bc the 2lb is so pricey. Will probably cave soon and get the big tubs. Great stuff.

I just ordered my second jar of this. Overall, the taste isn't too bad. I hate the taste of protein, so the last brand I tried took me forever to finish because I would just not take it. I've been able to keep up with it more consistently using this, but I still wouldn't say it tastes "good" per se. As another reviewer commented, I also noticed the macros have changed. It now contains only 22g instead of 25g of protein and more carbs, at least for the chocolate peanut butter flavor. Due to this, I will probably look for an alternative the next go around, especially since it is on the pricier side. If I'm going to be taking protein, I want to maximize my protein per scoop.

I will gladly tell the world about this protein until the day I die. My 3 favorite flavors are the vanilla, mocha, and cinnamon bun. I make an incredible snack w/ the vanilla using thawed frozen blueberries (or mixed berries), 1/2 a scoop of vanilla trutein, and plan greek yogurt (i change up the % of fat in the yogurt based on my current macros). It's like dessert!!! I make protein shakes using mocha or cinnamon bun and use unsweetened vanilla almond milk. Those also taste like dessert! I really can't recommend this protein enough.

This is tastiest protein I’ve ever bought, re-buying it for the third time now. Worth paying extra for high protein, low carb and sooo delicious! It’s incredibly sweet so probably not to everyone’s taste but you could water it down or mix with other things to dilute. I just mix with ice and water and some spinach/kale (sneaking in some extra greens). Also the product arrived very quickly - 2 days ahead of expected! Thanks!

Just the nicest tasting powder ever. Mixes fairly well and was just what i needed.I make a hot chocolate type shake in the evening with warm milk/water and half a scoop and it's amazing.

very very very strong mint taste , made my throat feel weird asif it was burning as the mint was so strong, not very pleasant and i use protein powder religously, there are far better choices for a mint flavouring, shame because there cinnamon is really nice, good protein though

Mixes well. Tastes almost but not quite entirely unlike peanuts so I'm ok with that. Would buy again
