Q: Do these magnetize to each other to stay on or apply by adhesive mentioned?

They attach to each side of the curtain . Magnets, no adhesive . The caps that cover the magnets started falling off after 5 months , and then they start rusting and wouldn’t stay on .

Q: Since these are made of glass, aren't they likely to shatter from clanging against the hard tub? My cat plays in tub and I don't want her to get hurt.

I use mine on a curtain outside in our patio to prevent wind from blowing the curtain around, so I can’t address from experience any glass shattering issue. However, my opinion is this would not be a problem. I don’t think a cat knocking the curtain around couldn’t generate enough force to break the glass or chip the tub. I would be more concerned the cat would knock magnets around and cause them to separate. The magnetic strength is good but not enough to withstand a cat playing with them and giving them a hard slap.

The stickers are to put over the magnets that touch the shower curtain to keep it from making marks on the shower curtain.
