Dior by Christian Dior Hardcover – February 21, 2017

So, the wait is over! After two weeks of frantically waiting for this tome to arrive it finally did so. In excellent condition ,from the very capable hands of TOTAL BOOKS, a third party of Amazon's . The first in a series of tomes , each devoted to one creative director of the house since its founding, this one clearly is about the founder himself. Chosen from a selection of the 10 years Dior himself was designing, the photographs are simply spectacular. In many cases showcasing the minute details that make these garments genuine works of art. Granted: some of the pics have appeared before, in the many well documented books on the house. However there are so many more hidden treasures , revealed for the first time here. And the fact that it belongs as a whole to a lavish anthology of the house makes it that more special. The dimensions of the tome are nothing short of gargantuan and simply is one of those items that makes your environment that more beautiful for it. If you are a fashion lover , or simply a lover of simple to understand and easy to admire things, this tome def should be part of your eye scope.

This Dior book series is simply a must have for any couture fan. I've bought all the books available up to date. Great paper quality & fabulous images. A+

really a great book with very clear and beautiful pictures 10/10good and fast delivery in a box to protect the book.would like to know when the other books will come out, can't find any information about that !!! not even from dior !!!

A very beautiful book about the work of Christian Dior. The book is really huge and full of images. The vast majority of the images contained in the book are current photos of the clothes created by Christian Dior (1947-1957). Some images have already been published in previous books about Christian Dior, but the great majorities are new. A real joy to read and look over. I look forward to the next book of this series about the House of Dior. A real treat for all fans of the house Dior!!!

I didn’t expected it to such a big size and heavy

A HUGE book, which is a but difficult to handle due to size and weight. Wonderful photos, good biography on C.D. Would have liked to see more garments and varied angles of each. A nice addition to my collection .

Beautiful pictures! Has the best collection of photos from Monsieur Diors career.
