Amazon Brand – Pinzon Signature Cotton Heavyweight Velvet Flannel Sheet Set - California King, Thyme Green

I wish these were still available. I just noticed that after 5 years of use (7-8 months each year) they are getting some holes. These have been the nicest flannel sheets I have tried. And we have been through quite a few. Looking for new ones that are comparable and it seems like it's all a gamble.

I bought these pillow cases because I thought they would fit a large pillow (not a king size pillow.) The case for a king size pillow would've been much too large. These cases measured one inch larger than the pillow I have. Unfortunately, they don't. They are about an inch shy of completely covering my pillow. This may be due to a difference in length when filled with pillow vs when not. I don't know. I've never put these cases in a dryer. I'm not complaining, I like the cases overall, I only wish they fit better.

In short, just don't bother buying other flannel sheets (unless you fall for an adorable motif that captures your heart). The only shortfall is that they don't have more styles and colors...and are often sold out. I will be slowly replacing my ten pair of flannel sheets to three pair.... The other wear out and become rags. I will be buying two more pair of these...and we will be ecstatic. Mom always said buy quality over fashion. She was sooooo right. You don't need cute motifs when you feel so warm, soft and luxurious in these sheets. I almost did not write this review because I am just creating more competition for myself in being able to access these sheets...but on the other hand, you really deserve to know the truth. There is a huge difference in flannel sheets....never thought it was true, until I tried these. You will thank me for telling you. You are welcome.

Great sheets. I bought them for my family two Christmas’ in a row!

I ordered 5 sets of sheets from various manufacturers (all were claiming “Heavy Weight”). Only 2 provided an actual measurable “weight” on their descriptions but there was no way to compare or correlate the 2 weights. Such as 170/190 gram for the Pinzon Sheets vs 5-6oz for a couple other ‘heavy weight’ brands.Having them all arrive at about the same time I was actually able to “feel” the weight and softness of each. I had purchased my Pinzon sheet sets 8 years ago and they have been wonderful! They don’t pill and leave fuzz balls all over the floor as some others do and are amply deep pocketed for our 18” mattress. They launder very well. It took 8 years to get to the point of retiring them. I’m always looking for something better’ but in this case I think I will stop looking (unless quality begins to change)! Part of what prompted looking at others is that the color/pattern choices are limited.After comparing the 5 sets of sheets I can tell you now that a 5-6 OZ weight sheet is NOT heavy duty compared to the Pinzon 170-190 gram weight sheets!! I would rate the 5-6 oz at a good medium weight. The ‘feel’ isn’t as dense and feels thin. The FLANNEL portion of the sheet only felt soft on one side and I just didn’t think they would launder well and still have the flannel softness or feel after a few washes. After owing and using the Pinzon brand now for the last 8 years - I can say they DO NOT have a problem with any of that. We use our flannel sheets all year round. I also have a set of high end thread count sheets that are very very soft and I like them for a change every now and then but when my husband comes home I make sure to have the flannels on as when I had the other ones on he did remark that he didn’t like them as much even tho they are buttery soft Egyptian cotton, high thread count and elegant. (I actually didn’t think he would notice but he did! Just goes to show men do notice more than we give them credit for sometimes LOL!)In summary, Pinzon sheets are definitely durable, well made and at 170-190 GRAMS, Heavy Weight. I just wish they had a larger selection of colors/patterns. The Thyme Green sheets and Pinzon Paisley pillowcases look very nice together 😁

My family absolutely loved these sheets. I have been looking for months and need to know if you plan on ever making them again!

Purchased the king size for a king bed and they fit perfect with nice deep corner pockets. Have used these for 3 months and washed several times and they are the best sheets we've ever slept in. They are warm, thick and so smooth as compared to other flannels so you don't get all tangled up in them as you change positions in bed. Also, they don't lose as much flannel in the dryer as others brands I've purchased in the past, even the high end designer ones. Colour has more of a muted mustard hue but compliments any colour of comforter. My husband can't wait to get into bed at night, they make winter enjoyable!

Those are the real stuff. Thick, soft, strong and fit perfectly on a king size mattress. Easy to wash/clean and they stay in place. It definitly makes a difference for a good night.//C'est de la vraie qualité. Épais, doux, solide et font parfaitement sur un très grand matelas. Facile à laver/nettoyer et ils restent en place. Ils font vraiment une différence pour une bonne nuit.

I washed it upon reception before putting it on the bed. It fitted nicely, without needing to stretch or pull the corners. The quality is noticible, the fabric is soft and reasonably thick.As for comfort, I am quite satisfied: it has been minus 25 Celcius in Montreal for 3 weeks now, so having these warm and soft sheets is simply wonderful. I have a light duvet on top and it is plenty of warmth for my taste.

I read the description many times as I was doubtful for the price ($18) for 2 king size these would be good. I felt I was taking a chance when I ordered but am pleased as punch with them.100% cotton !, soft, even softer after washing, cosy feeling. Pattern is tasteful. I wanted floral but not too feminine/pretty.Athens pattern has different shades of gray so I expect as it fades over time ( any pattern on cotton will ) it will be far less noticeable than a single shade pattern would be. It also makes them look more expensiveI have no criticisms

I just bought my third set of these sheets, they are simply superb! It’s really hard nowadays to find quality fabrics, and these are even better than the amazing flannel the hospital wrapped my newborn daughter in. They don’t wear with washing or use, and my white set stands up well to a good dosing of bleach in the wash every now and then.
