Prints clean, strong, and built to last outdoors
I picked up this Polymaker ASA in orange to start printing some functional outdoor parts, and it hasn’t disappointed. The color is vibrant, the spool was neatly wound, and it fed smoothly right out of the box.Print quality is excellent—layer adhesion is solid, surface finish is clean, and it handles bridging and overhangs better than I expected for ASA. I’m running it in an enclosed printer, and once dialed in, it’s been very consistent. Slight warping on the first print, but after tweaking bed temps and using a brim, no further issues. What really stands out is the durability. This filament is tough and UV/weather resistant, which makes it perfect for brackets, mounts, or anything you need to survive outdoors. I’ve printed parts for my patio setup and a few car accessories, and they’ve been holding up great in sun and heat.If you’re looking for something tougher than PLA and more outdoor-friendly than PETG, this ASA is a solid choice. Highly recommend for functional prints.

Prints Great But Needs to Stay Dry
I got this Polymaker ASA Filament in black for my 3D printer to make some outdoor parts. It prints great and the finish looks really nice. The heat and weather resistance is spot on, and my prints have held up well outside so far. One thing though, you have to keep this filament dry. I noticed if it gets even a little humid, the prints start to get stringy and pop a bit. I store mine in a dry box now, and it’s been fine since. Good filament overall, just make sure you have a way to keep it dry.

Amazing ASA formulation, just plain works.
This stuff prints absolutely beautifully and effortlessly. You can go fast with it, if you take the time to preheat the chamber and use an adhesion promoter like Hyperlok on the bed, it's (for me at least on my Bambu X1C) simple. Solid profiles in the slicer by default, prints are gorgeous. I'm now ~1.25 kilos in on this stuff printing an AMS riser/drawer thing. Looks great, feels great, highly durable too. Yes, it's a bit on the pricey side, but you won't regret it. Yes, it's a premium product, but it delivers premium results too.

Good filament if used correctly
This is pretty good filament. It prints with a nice sheen. It is strong, temperature resistant and relatively easy to print. I recommend an enclosure, glue stick, and a high bed temperature. Vent it. The vapors are not good for you.

Great filament for prints to be used outdoors
I have been using this filament for several years and it withstands southeast Texas weather and string trimmers (if you have enough walls). I have printed it using Prusa and Bambu printers where it prints great on the generic ASA settings. The only downside I have come across is the cardboard spool and compatibility with the BambuLabs AMS and often the spool is damage in shipping which makes compatibility worse.

Best ASA filament
This is the BEST ASA filament I’ve found. It’s very clean, it has great build plate adhesion, and it doesn’t ooze like other filaments when you preheat the hot end. Other filaments I have to preheat the hot end and wait about 15 minutes, then remove the foot-long string of oozed filament from the nozzle. This stuff I get maybe 3/4” of ooze. You can actually skip the preheat with this filament because it oozes so slowly that the printer will be printing before it causes an issue. I’ve had other ASA filaments that won’t adhere to the PEI build plate even on the first layer. You can see it separating. This does not have that problem. It also doesn’t make big blobs at seams or string out like other filaments. WELL worth the money for this filament. I’m using a CR-6 SE with enclosure and add-on PEI plate if that helps anyone.

Exceptional Quality and Consistency
I've been using Polymaker filaments for various 3D printing projects, and I can confidently say that the quality I get from their ASA filament is nothing short of exceptional. Whether I'm printing complex designs or simple parts, the consistency and reliability of Polymaker ASA never disappoint. The filament flows smoothly, with minimal warping and excellent layer adhesion, even on larger prints. I've used it to print several outdoor items, including a custom Starlink mount, and the results have been outstanding. The filament produces a beautiful, matte finish that gives my prints a professional look right off the printer. It's also incredibly durable and resistant to UV light, making it perfect for outdoor applications.Another aspect I appreciate is the minimal odor during printing. Polymaker ASA has a much lower odor compared to other filaments I've used, which is a significant plus for long printing sessions.Overall, Polymaker continues to impress me with the quality of their filaments. If you're looking for a filament that delivers consistent, high-quality results every time, I highly recommend Polymaker ASA.

Great Filament
Used this to make some interior parts for a few cars. So far they have held up in the Texas sun. Nice smooth pringing, no issues on my Bambu X1C.
