Inspiration for eclectic decor
Fabulous book to inspire the creative. The photography is beautiful. I love taking what is presented and changing it to my own taste and color palette. Most of the ideas can be implemented with decor items you already own. I highly recommend this excellent book.

Jealous. Yup, totally jealous of these interiors
I'm definitely in-love with this book. Had I not spent so much on this ($20-something-ish) I would love to rip out the pages and pin them to my wall in my room. Completely jealous of all these people who live their lives in such well curated spaces. If you're into the industrial style, this is definitely your book. Each chapter highlights a person, designer, artist, etc, and gives good paragraphs on their style, how they created these spaces, etc. And most importantly each chapter highlights a specific way each person collects and displays their stuff.

Love This a Book!
If you are the kid that liked playing house only because you could decorate it, or if you automatically and unconsciously rearrange other people's decor, then this is the book for you. Even more so if you are the person who reads home decor magazines with your nose pressed to the page to see just what that interesting object on that coffee table in the photo is, then this is the book you've been waiting for FOREVER! Beautiful photography and interesting commentary.

A peak in people's life.
A wonderful book for those who like interiors filled with well loved "stuff", mostly antique/vintage, gathered over time. These are the things that make a place come alive and turn a house into a home. The interiors are sophisticated, atmospheric, not overly crammed with "stuff" and are anything but depressing. The photography is excellent, covering a wide range of interiors and still life. This book offers a unique peak in people's life.

Beautiful, but also a bit cold.
A beautiful book, overall. The pictures are visually stunning and interestingly arranged--though I wish they were less "cold." The exaggerated shadows and grey tones gave the whole book an old and almost sad feel. There were a couple of exceptions: I thought the profiles on Hilary Roberston and Leida Nassir-Pour were lovely, noticeably warmer and more inviting. Ultimately, I wish the book, as a whole, had more color and a broader range of tones. I think the variety would have added some depth and life to the pictures.

Love this book!
I really enjoy this book! I think the photos are wonderful and the author shares a lot of ideas and insights. She gives a lot of ideas and options for creating different looks in various rooms and I find the photos interesting and comforting to look at.This is one that I will pick up time and time again and always enjoy. I highly recommend and am glad that I purchased!

Dreary
Dark, dreary photographs of ordinary collections, desperately hip decor---- not only was the book uninteresting to look at, it offered no usable ideas and was downright depressing.
