A Lifesaver for My Poodle’s Boil – Avoided Surgery (So Far!)
I bought this ichthammol ointment to treat a boil that developed on my standard poodle’s back. The vet mentioned surgery might be necessary if it didn’t improve, so I decided to try this as a last-ditch effort before going that route. I’m so glad I did!After just a few applications (I cover it with gauze to prevent licking), the boil began to come to a head and drain naturally. The swelling went down noticeably within a few days, and my dog seems far more comfortable now. It does have a strong smell (like tar), but it’s totally worth it for how well it works.This stuff is sticky and messy, but it’s doing exactly what I hoped—drawing out infection and promoting healing. Fingers crossed we’ve avoided surgery altogether! Highly recommend having a tube of this on hand if you’ve got pets prone to skin issues.

Old fashion remedy is best!
Had a splinter in my leg for3 weeks. Doctor gave me prescription cortisone for it. I remembered my dad used to put black drawing salve on everything. Got tired of waiting for the prescription to work. Ordered the drawing salve. 2 days after application the splitter popped out. Like a whale breaching the surface of the water. This stuff is great.

Works on stubborn pimple!
I applied this to a stubborn pimple the night before and it was half the size the next morning. By day 2 it was flat. I think I found my holy grail.

Works for a lot of people, but not for me.
I know this has worked for a lot of people, but it did not work for me. I used it to try to draw out a rosebush thorn from my arm. I don’t want to give it a bad review because I know people who has worked for.
