(I have thick, curly, coarse hair) The smell isn’t bad, it’s not overpowering and it’s pretty subtle. It does not linger after your hair has dried, so if you’re sensitive to scents this should be fine. The scent says coconut but I don’t really smell coconut. I’m not exactly sure what I’m even smelling but it’s not bad. The texture is quite jelly like, I like how it feels and it’s not watery/loose where you can feel it’s not going to give a good hold unlike some other gels. It’s quite thick. I’ve only used this gel so far for wash-and-go’s, it’s given my curls good hold and shine. The size is also good, 17.5 ounces. The price isn’t bad for the size and quality you’re getting. Sure, with some other gels you might be paying a bit less but you’re getting less product & product/quality that might not even be as good as this one. And if you don’t have as much hair as me or as thick, then it’ll definitely last you longer too.

The product is super good, only it arrived in bad condition, everything was destroyed. I managed to save a little and put it in another container.

This gel is so good for both defining and slick back hairstyles. It lasts like a dream and it defines my hair really well.

It arrived half empty due to the big crack on the bottom of the plastic jar. My guess is they were aware of the crack since it was wrapped in tape and double baged. At this point all I can say is it smells very clean and fresh.

Love this hair gel! Doesn’t make my curls too crunchy, just right. I put it in my hair while it is still wet, and it gives me the perfect hold. I have type 2b curls, thinner type of hair.Taking one star because it was shipped in a flimsy envelope so the lid was completely broken and the product was leaking. This should be shipped in a box with stuffing.

Update: So after using the product a while I realized that there was an added ingredient which was aloe so that explains the color, smell and different consistency of the gel. I absolutely love the added aloe! My hair has been looking awesome and my curls are more defined. It’s so much more healthier. Will be buying againSo I’ve ordered this product numerous times. It has worked great and I loved the smell. The last order the gel consistency was different and smelled different. Now I’m worried it isn’t the same product. Having curly hair I need to watch out what I’m putting in hair and won’t be ordering again.
