Definitely recommend
Really pleased with iron. Good weight, steam, cord length. Noticeable improvement from previous tefal iron and great price at under £40.

Iron Great , instructions confusing and turbo Boost button just crazy
I bought three of these irons today, one for myself, one for my mum and one for my girlfriend and they are on a special deal. The first two came this morning and I thought I’d give my mum a helping hand and do her ironing for her as the iron came at 10am - so I got to it. The first thing I noted about this iron was the chord which was considerably longer than the previous Tefal she has had for years and years but failed on Christmas Eve. The chord is excellent and the additional length made the job a lot easier, so a first plus there. The second thing of note was the sole plate which was wonderful and glided easily over sheets and t shirts. I’m a guy and I was enjoying doing this mundane task in a quicker than usual fashion. I’d say ironed two sheets and 4 pairs of jeans / 10 Tee shirts in two thirds of my usual time. I noted that I didn’t have to do much turning over. So once again a great improvement over the older model. The downside is the instruction manual which has hardly any words or explanation as to what’s what, to be honest I thought the button was faulty until I read other reviews further down explaining that this third setting has to be kept on with your finger!, a bit of a messing about but I won’t really be using it that much on that setting, the manual though is absolutely useless and if I was an old person I’d be really confused by it. The other issue was with the colour being purple you can’t see the water level clearly on the side and therefore have to be careful, if again you have poor eyesight this could lead to over filling and therefore leakage.I ordered a third of these for myself also on Amazon today but somehow it went astray on its way to me and they are sending another out.All in all a good iron better than the older model I had which is the same trusted brand and I’d recommend it but the manual , turbo boost and lack of been able to easily see the water level clearly are it’s let down it would of been a 5 star purchase apart from that . The plastic side panel I feel should be clear on the critical top max fill area but for £38.50 no cause for major complaints.

Good iron for most people’s needs
Great iron. Simple to use. Ideal weight at 1.5kg. Good steam boost function . Perfect for ironing clothes and garments - steam tank will last about 45min. If you’re doing bed sheets et , then you will need a steam generator.

You get what you pay for - or atleast with this iron!
For three years we have struggled with an iron which cost half the price of this Tefal ( it was one of the few available during Covid) as it spat, belched lime scale and spewed water everywhere whilst failing to get the creases out - of anything.According to our resident ‘ironing fairy’ the transition to the Tefal was like changing up from a moped to a Harley Davidson - firm, assured ironing with plenty of steam. Heats up and cools down quickly - excellent all round performance and a good medium weight iron.AND NOW FOR THE ONE STUPID TEFAL MISTAKE - it’s virtually IMPOSSIBLY to see how much water you’ve put in the iron - the reservoir is made of smoked plastic - DOH!! Tefal are not alone in doing this, but whoever came up with this little design feature had clearly never tried to fill an iron.

Evidence of returned stock being used
This is a great iron, so-much-so, that after our first one got accidently damaged, we replaced it with the same model. The only negative comment I have is that when it arrived, the box wasn't sealed and the iron contained droplets of water, so obviously been used and returned. We requested a replacement and when the second one arrived, the issue was the same - an unsealed box and evidence it had been filled with water.

Light, easy to use, long cable, great selection on controls. Dark tank not ideal.
The iron, It glides on the fabric, not heavy to use. Long cable, which is an advantage. I'm not happy with the dark water tank, difficult to see the water level.

Short lead
Nice iron but the lead is so short you have to use an extension lead or have the ironing board next to the plug socket. And even then it still seems short

Tefal iron
It took me a bit of getting used to, but seems to do the job. The only downside side is the water level gauge it is difficult to see how much water is in the iron.
