Works great.

I purchased this green bean slicer. I opened and tried to use it so it cannot be returned. The blades to cut the green beans were so dull they would not cut properly, and so misaligned that the slices were all of different thicknesses when I forced the bean through. Do not buy this product. I give it zero stars but will not accept my review unless I put in a one star.

It was exactly what I wanted.

My original review was: “Does not work as promised. Dull blades just mash the string beans. Don’t waste your $$.”It wasn’t the slicer, it was the green beans I was using. A 2 lb bag of washed & snipped green beans from Costco that I had left sit in the fridge for a few days. I picked up another bag that was much fresher and used them immediately and the slicer worked very well. (See photo).The bottom line is your beans must be very fresh, crisp and snappy. Which is the kind of beans you want to be using anyway.My only reservation is that the plastic on one side of the clasp where you slide the beans in gets bent. If they had a raised place for you to put your thumb instead of directly on the clasp, that piece wouldn’t get bent. Still, it’s only eight bucks and it works pretty well. Four stars.

This item is a poor knock-off of a well made Australian product. The blades were so dull it would not cut the stem off a green bean and it required considerable force to push a bean through the cutters. Forget about this item, not worth the money at any price.

Not as sharp or sturdy as my old one

My last one was lost in a house fire. I have been looking for a replacement for over ten years. This little tool works better than anything else I have tried.

Love this gadget for my greens beans. Bought a few to give away. Not so sure about the quality. 🤞
