Great Book!
The best book on Kabbalistic Astrology that I've found. Also has some very good general information. A must have for a serious student.

Author claims astrology is inextricably enmeshed in Jewish Bible
This book makes an earthshaking claim: the Jewish Bible, as well as its earlier formal commentaries, are replete with astrological allusions and astrological imagery. The Prophets were astrologers! The logical conclusion is that God chose astrology as one of the means to communicate His Will to us. The author is a Rabbi and an astrologer.

Excellent Rehash of the Rabbi's Previous Work
I loved The Astrological Secrets of the Hebrew Sages: To Rule Both Day and Night and To rule both day and night: Astrology in the Bible, Midrash, and Talmud. I found them to be a significant books for convincing myself that astrology had merit and meaning. In this book I was hoping to find even more, but I cannot give it 5 stars because it is mostly a 3rd reprint of previously published material by this author with only a small addition of some charts and details. I would suggest one read only this book, rather than the previous publications. One will not find enough new material to justify the new book alone; however, if you have not read the rabbi's previous works, then by all means this book is excellent, thorough and an excellent resource.

Hermetic in many places, rairly Jewish
The author shows some knowledge of Jewish sources in the book but seems to be totally ignorant of many others. One very telling quote is when he's talking about pairs in reference to the hour of mars on tuesday and he says "...will recognise that the Talmud considered even numbers to be unfortunate." If he could read the commentary that went along with the section he would have referenced the information on Zugos and where/why they are important. The amount of things that he left out that are elementary are a testiment to why I give this book such a low rating. Of course his Hermetic talk on Kabbalah rather than going to the Jewish sources is just another nail in the coffin.
