Please note! If yours has the metal insert still on the bolt it will need to be removed before installing this wiper arm. This replacement has a brass insert which is a press fit as you tighten the nut and will not fit if the OE metal insert is still on the bolt. The OE metal insert has a slot on one side and using a flat nose screwdriver, you can pry it off. It may take a little force but it'll come off. After that, installation of this replacement is simple. Clean off the bolt and install the arm in the off position with the wiper clip in the little clip thing and slowly tighten the nut until the arm is fully seated. Q: What is the ID of the wide end of the bronze insert that fits on the wiper motor shaft? Thanks

The new wiper blade has a new bronze insert molded into the blade end. My old one was seized onto the shaft, separated from the plastic and I cut it off with a bare hacksaw blade in my hand. Actually, made one complete cut through and used a screw driver to open up the grove I cut and then worked it off the shaft. The bronze cuts easily and you can feel when you cut though to the motor shaft (harder material). After reading some reviews, I think people don't realize the old bronze/ brass bushing is stuck on the motor shaft and the new wiper won't fit. They need to remove the old bushing. It will come off if you cut one side of it all the way through. Don't try to force it off, penetrating oil didn't work for me.

Q: Can you use a normal replacement blade with this arm?

It does not seem do. At least on my 2016 Escape.

Q: I need the rubber gasket and the nut attached to the post coming from the window also as they rotted out. Are those included?

It only comes with the wiper blade and arm, no other hardware.

Fits 2014 Ford Focus ST

2014 Ford Focus ST rear wiper assembly. Came with everything except for the nut and washer that I reused on mine. I sprayed a bit of WD 40 and left it for a few hours. Came back and used a torque wrench to loosen up the nut. In reality you could have used a crescent wrench. Also handy is an adjustable wrench to carefully pry the old assembly off and not damage the motor. Also it's a good idea to mark off the level where the old wiper lined up before removing so that when tightening up, just make sure the assembly lines up the same area. Remove the red protective wiper blade cover and your golden, just don't tighten it up too much. You don't want to damage the assembly.
