Worked for 2000 Toyota Avalon
Pretty straight forward instructions but it took me a few times to get it right. The step that asks to press both the lock and unlock buttons at the same time.. The car will not provide any feedback until you press lock just after pressing both. I kept hitting both over and over again expecting something to happen and that's what took me several attempts.

Don’t do it
I bought this remote because. that is what Amazon said was correct. Now after buying the remote and going by installation instructions it didn’t work. Called the manufacturer and their help line I recieved no help from them on their product. Bill was no help that answered the chat. Blamed me for not having the FCC identification code for the car. Who has that number with them and why isn’t the product correct being sold. It should be ready to use on the model and year described well not this company and no help from their help line I returned because everything sucked about product and help line chat.

I'm satisfied to this point. Second time buying in last 5 years...
After 5 years of using this after market remote, it finally died. I repurchased & for the money you can't beat it for a car that is 21 years old! Granted the programming instructions online are a little confusing by the manufacturer, but if you "YouTube" the instructions, watch & listen closely, the remotes should sync! It did take me 3 tries to get it, but hey I'm old...lol

a little cheap feeling but they are cheap.
I have a 2000 Avalon xls. with the V6, and with a tutorial I looked up online I could easily pair the remote to my car.here is the way to do it.unlock and close all the car doors.open the driver side door.put in the key then once you hear the key in ignition ding remove the key, do this very quickly, then cycle the door locks 5 times, by that I mean lock then unlock the doors with the button 5 times.close the drivers dooropen the driver doorcycle the locks 5 more timesinsert the key and turn the ignition to the run position, then back off and pull out the keythe door locks should cycle on their own at this pointonce you see that the car is in programming mode and you can program the fob.press the lock and unlock buttons on the fob you want to program at the same time. then immediately hold down the lock button for about 3 seconds.the door locks should cycle again and the remote should be paired.close the door and then test the remote to make sure it is paired.if it didn't work look up a video and be sure that you followed the steps correctly.
