GREAT SOLID BOAT!
We bought a home on a small 8 acre lake and purchased this boat to "putz" around with. I found the boat to be extremely stable and loads of fun. We take take 2 adults and 2 nieces aboard and find that the boat is remarkably fast and steerable. The pedals move while the boat is under electric power so the adults just "lounge" with our feet on the side of the boat staying free of the pedals. I own a 42' triple engine cigarette boat in Grand Haven, MI and had discovered this pedal boat is mfg'd in Muskegon, MI. Obtaining spare parts for this boat was extremely easy and economical. The boat uses very little amperage at the lower settings which allow quite a bit of cruising time. The amperage use at "full tilt" was appx 27amps. This will draw the battery down quickly, but we find cruising in the middle speed range is more relaxing and greatly extends the battery life. A DC clamp on meter was used to measure current draw. Please call me at 269.251.5530 if you need more info. Dennis

Came slightly used
I did a walk around when the shipment came in, as advised, to make sure there were no major defects that would perhaps cause the boat to sink, but I couldn't keep the delivery guy waiting for me to inspect every last detail. Once unwrapped I discovered that the canopy had cuts in it (probably from a box cutter), the straps showed signs of wear and use, a clip/buckle for the strap was missing (tied it off instead) and something I probably should have noticed at the time of delivery, the plastic seal around the outer edge was partialy pulled off, but we managed to slip it back on with a screw driver. Now for the boat, it goes about 50% faster than a boat you'd pedal manually... not bad at all. The electric motor operation is completely silent on the slower settings, and I imagine this is great for troll fishing. Even though the pedals are there, you probably won't want to use them since the boat is willing to do the work for you. It's good to have the option though, incase the battery dies on you. The two drawbacks are 1) when occupied, all of the weight is over the rear half of the boat, so you sink back, it's not comfortably level, and 2) it's not as sturdy as other pedal boats. The boat will actualy buckle in the center when it's lifted. OTOH, this means it weighs less and goes faster/farther than it would if it were a thicker construction.

After a beautiful 20 minute ride we were heading back to my ...
PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! If i can spare any other family the same event that happened to mine I will do what I can. It is advertized as a 5 person paddle boat with capacity of 545lbs. so everyone would have to be 100 lbs or less. I took mine out the first time with my parents. (3 people within weight limit) Thankfully I did follow the advice if buying safety vests and floatation seats. After a beautiful 20 minute ride we were heading back to my dock. only 1/4 mile away the water just started seeping into the back and then gushed capsizing the whole boat. My retired aged parents and me with Cystic Fibrosis (lung disease). I have pictures to show the water was perfectly still that day and the sky was clear. No storms on the way etc. The manufacturer has the battery located in the back. The battery must be at least 90lbs of dead / solid weight. That is the only thing i can think of that made this event happen. After being under the assumption that a simple paddle boat is basically safe..... We found ourselves fighting to life. I was hit on the head with the boat and knocked under and upon surfacing was still under the boat. I have 20% lung capacity so don't ask me how i managed to get out alive. After being fire and rescue saved us and rushed us to the ER, we found that My father suffered a minor heart attack and was in the hospital for 4 days. My mother faired ok but had water in her lungs. My point is. There is something seriously wrong with the way this boat is designed if it could sink as easy and fast as it did with only 3 people in it. My fear is another family, maybe a mother, father and two children....I can't even imagine.... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOAT. I took every precaution the manual told me to and my whole family was almost killed. AGAIN I STRESS.... I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BOAT. Please review pictures I took just prior to the boat sinking... you will see.... everything was so beautiful and going so perfect... and BAM!!!

Nice boat but the cover is too flimsy
We have had this paddle boat for a couple of seasons now and it has served the purpose for which it was purchased (putting around our cove of the lake). It is fun to move from dock to dock and visit with people. It doesn't go very fast and to make it go any reasonable speed you must peddle along with the motor, but it works fine. It is much easier than fooling with a trolling motor and it is easier to store. The only real problem is the cover will not stay on the boat when it is on the lift. It is too small and the wind pulls it off. I have had to anchor it to the dock in several places to keep it in place. All in all it is what it is a power assisted peddle boat.

An excellent little boat for the money.
An excellent little boat for the money. The built-in electric motor is a better system than attaching a trolling motor on the back as you have the speed, forward and reverse controls right in front of you. It zips right along in the top gear but at that speed the battery gets used up fairly fast. I connect a battery tender to the battery at all times when not in the water so it's ready to go when needed. It's a bit heavy but one person can pull it out of the water onto a deck. I plan to silicone the two halves (upper and lower) but very little water has gotten inside the hull so far.

WHY WORK AT PLAYING?
SMOOTH AS SILK! It's light, solid and fun. The motor on 1,2 or 3 setting makes pedaling easy and the battery lasts for hours. A great way to visit neighbors or get some rays.
