If You Told Me Last Year I Would Buy And Love This, I Would Have Laughed. Not Laughing Now!
I have to tell you, the LAST thing I wanted to do was to make tea in plastic of any kind. I have been a very cautious person about using plastic of any kind with hot water, and even try to use glass for storage whenever possible. I purchased the Teaze Tea Infuser for one particular purpose- to make FAST iced tea on days when I could not wait and had to go out the door.I own a Teavana portable tea thermos and although it has its own tea basket inside, I didn't want to take the time or go through the mess of trying to make iced tea using just that. The plan was to add honey (I don't use sugar), tea, and then hot water in the appropriate temperature, and then brew it and dispense it right into the thermos with ice in it and have iced tea to go, quick rinse of the infuser and I would be off and running.HOW DOES IT WORK?I have to say that I am very impressed with this infuser. It is oblong so if you turn the front toward you, it is easy to pour into and put tea and sweetener into. I put in the hot water and then give it a quick stir (even using crystallized honey) and let it brew. I put it over my thermos for either hot or cold water, and then I am good to go.IS THE TEA ANY DIFFERENT?I made tea and everyone wanted some, so using the exact measurements and making it in a teapot with the fine screen large infuser cone (tea can float freely) the tea was completely different. The flavor was about HALF of what it was using this infuser. THAT was impressive. I have compared it with other teas and similar results.CLEANINGCleaning is fast. I rinse in hot/warm water and it cleans out quickly. I pour the tea leaves into our compost so it is not a problem for me. If I want to remove the screen, I can, but most of the time, it is fine to just rinse- all tea comes out and there is no need to remove the filter.THE BOTTOM LINEAlthough I bought this for iced tea in my thermos, I can see me using this a lot for a quick cup of loose tea when I want some good flavor and a quick cup of tea. I am finding I am using this with ice a lot and I have only had it a short time as of this review.I will update as time passes to talk about durability issues should any arise.

Perfect Tea Infuser for Loose Leaf Tea!
Perfect Tea Infuser for Loose Leaf Tea!I absolutely love this tea infuser! It’s the perfect size for loose leaf tea and allows the leaves to expand fully while brewing, which results in a more flavorful cup. The stainless steel design is sturdy, and the fine mesh ensures that no small bits of tea escape into the cup. It’s super easy to use – just scoop in your favorite tea, steep, and remove without any mess. I also appreciate how easy it is to clean; a quick rinse and it’s good as new. Plus, the long chain makes it easy to remove from my mug without burning my fingers! If you're a fan of loose leaf tea, this is a must-have. Highly recommend!

Best Tea Strainer
I love this product. So easy to use. Put loose tea in, add hot water. (I use my Keurig for the hot water). Let it steep, then set it down over the top of the mug & the tea drains into it. Clean up is just as easy. The lid comes off without any problems. I dumped as much of the used tea leaves as possible in the trash. Quick rinse out of any that are left, then the micro mesh strainer at the bottom pulls straight up & out, then wash everything & let dry. I found this & chose it over another product that was similar but did seem to quite a easy to use.

Good, not easy to clean if you are composting
My GROSCHE Aberdeen was finally dying after 3 years of heavy use, so it was time for a new infuser. I think the Aberdneen's are fairly overpriced, so I decided to give this one a try. Honestly, it's fine - it works as intended. But if you are composting the leaves, it is a pain the ass to get the strainer with the leaves out, and then clean. If they would make it easier to get the strainer out (taller piece in the middle...?) it might be better. Also, whoever left a review saying this doesn't stain, of course it's already staining. Nothing can avoid tea staining. I like this, but I hope they make a newer version that is easier to get the leaves out.

My New Fav
I did not expect to love this thing so much! I drink loose leaf tea daily and before buying this, I went between a Japanese cast iron kettle and French Press. I don't even use the kettle anymore - there are just too many steps and usually a boiling over mess onto the stove.I now just heat my water in the electric kettle, scoop my tea into the cup, pour the water over, close the lid and let it steep. Then place the tea infuser over my mug for a satisfying, seamless pour. It's a brilliant way to make a single cup of tea and I'm really glad I gave it a shot. I was only hesitant because it's plastic, but it's BPA-free so I decided to try it.I still use the French press for when I'm making a couple of different teas at the same time or a larger brew, but this is now my go-to for a single cup. It's quick, easy to use and easy to wash. I can easily pop the lid off to clean the inside and the strainer at the bottom easily lifts out (after you push the top tab to the side it'll pop loose and then you just lift it out) for cleaning that too. You will need a little brush whenever you need to thoroughly clean it, which is not after every use in my experience.

Best infuser I’ve used
This thing just works. No leaks, no drips. It holds 16 ounces of water plus tea leaves, and the filter doesn’t let anything through except the steeped tea.We started with a spring-loaded, hinged ball infuser that didn’t close tightly enough to keep all the tea leaves inside. We have also tried the infusers that look like little cups that fit down in your pot or mug. They work better but are a bear to clean. This one is much better than either. The filter pops out, making cleaning much easier. The build quality seems excellent, although we’ve only had it about 2 weeks, so time will tell how well it holds up over time. But the walls of the unit are nice and thick, so I don’t think it will be fragile.I won’t be using anything else for brewing loose leaf tea.
