Perfect for a quick slushie
If you have slushie loving kids, this is perfect. Keep it in the freezer and pull out for a quick, kid size smoothie. Easy to use and the kids can make their own mix of juices or fruit.

Nice slushy maker
My 10 year old requested a slushy maker. This is a nice sturdy quality product. It does require some time in the freezer before use. Refrigerate the liquid before using accelerates the process. We had a bit of trial and error before we had success.

Great slushy cup
It took a bit of trial and error but this cup does what it’s supposed to do! The cup must be completely frozen, so we just leave it in the freezer until ready to use. We found it best to leave in freezer for at least 24 hours. The juice or liquid to make the slushy must be cold. Once you pour the liquid into the cup, it starts freezing the liquid that touches the sides of the cup. It’s best to use the spoon provided to scrap (up and down motion) the frozen liquid from the sides of the cup and all the liquid will be slushy in 1 to 2 mins. My daughter loves it but took trial and error!!

Does not work at all
I’ve tried to look up the recipes and the page is always unavailable. When trying to make slushies, the juice just gets frozen to the side but stays liquid in the middle. Extremely disappointing.

Don't Buy If You Want Convenience, It's More Of An Experience
This is a nice little cup for making slushies! It functions like an ice cream maker that doesn't require ice. The cup itself needs to go in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours before use, then the cold liquid is added. However, I found that you get the best results if the cup is frozen for 24 hours and the liquid is chilled for at least 24 hours before use. Then, this will take about 5 minutes or so to make a slushy. The liquid (I used hard cider) will freeze to the edge of the cup first. You will need to manually scrape the sides with a plastic utensil and stir the ice in and, over the course of about five minutes, it will gradually become a slushy. If this was marketed at adults, I would likely rate this lower as it is a tedious process and the cup doesn't hold much liquid. However, as this is meant for kids, I could actually see this be a hit for them. It's really cool to watch the liquid freeze before your eyes and gradually mix into a slushy. The 8 ounce capacity is also a good portion size for a child.Overall, this is more of an experience instead of a convenience. If you want a quick slushy, this isn't what you want to buy. However, it is really cool to watch the liquid gradually become a slushy and it could be a good, sneaky way of introducing portion control if you want to limit your kid's sugar intake.
