Great little grinder!
I'm gonna be honest, I was not expecting much when I purchased this. I was worried and researched endlessly for a grinder that fit our budget AND could grind my wheat berries into usable flour for my sourdough bread. I wanted hand crank because it will never fail unless my arms fail, but I feared my arms would fail if I had to grind for hours to get enough flour for a loaf.So maybe my previous negative bias is making this grinder seem even better than it is. I mean, I have had ground meat, nuts, and other sundries with the old cast iron grinders in the past. And boy, was that a chore! So when I set up this new grinder and started grinding rice to prep it for flour, I was bracing myself to hate it. 15 minutes later I had a relatively fine grind of rice that actually amazed me.When I moved on to my precious wheat berries, I found I could roughly grind 2 cups in about 15 minutes, then tighten the burrs for a fine powder and finish a fine flour in another 20 minutes or so.The first time I used it I attached it to an antique Hoosier hutch and it did not scratch the wood surface despite all the wobbling. Since then I have found a way to attach it to our kitchen island, just in case it starts scratching surfaces with wear. So far so good.As for the flour... I have baked 4-5 loaves of sourdough with it so far and they are wonderful. Mind you, a lot of that is wheat quality, etc but I have noticed no major issues with coarse flour, chunkiness, heaviness...Also, I am not as fit as I once was, so I expected this to be a bit brutal, but I have found that I enjoy grinding my grain when I have the extra time. Its a light workout depending on how much you need to grind, but certainly nothing terribly fatiguing, even for a middle aged, somewhat overweight woman. 🤣 If I can do it, so can you! Promise. All you need is a bit of patience and a good book or podcast to entertain you. Finally, a bit of advice... 1. Don't fill the hopper all the way. Just add enough grain to fill the grinding area and continue trickling it in. The more full the hopper, the tougher it is to grind. 2. If you want fine flour, don't try to grind it fine right away. Run the grains thru on a loose/coarse grind first to break them up a bit (see my pic), then run the coarse ground wheat thru the mill set to fine grind. And voilà! Beautiful, healthy, delish flour!I am so pleasantly surprised by this little grinder that I really did want to share with others who may also have their doubts. If you want to bake a little bread from home-ground flour, this is an excellent machine. I wouldn't want to grind more than 1000 grams or so in a day, but thats enough for a few loaves of bread for many basic recipes. It is easy to use, effective and affordable. I definitely recommend!*Note: I haven't yet ground anything but rice and whole wheat in it, so I can't speak to spices, flax, etc. I can't imagine it will do a bad job with those either tho.

Very Good Mill
I love this mill. Freshly milled cornmeal or einkorn wheat berries make the most flavorful cornbread, masa harina, or einkorn bread, biscuits, and pancakes. Everything tastes noticibly better than pre-milled flour from a bag. The crank is easy to operate and fun. However, milling whole dent corn requires three passes through the conical blades, beginning with a very course grind, and progressing downward to a medium-fine cornmeal. It's definitely worth the effortf for the amazing cornbread or cornmeal breading on fried chicken or fish. It's my personal belief that the conical blades reduce the risks of micro metal shaving in the finished product, over the other mills with flat blades. Buy this.

Gets the job done
Works great. I use it mostly to mill gluten free grains for bread (mainly millet)

Lightweight & easy to store
This comes in a nice, compact box. It is simple to assemble. I ran raw rice through it first to clear any metal debris, but I didn’t see any. Grinds into a nice, fine flour. For emergency preparation, it is just right. The crank is easy to turn, and does have the option to purchase an additional electric powered attachment. That would help to grind flour much faster. By hand, this is easy but takes some time.

Works good with motor
I don't like knocking anyone's product, especially since people make their living with this stuff, but at the same time the buyer should be aware of what they are getting. This plastic model works good if you have it well mounted, like on a 2x4 that is screwed down to a shop bench. If you are hoping to get real fine flour with this, don't. Speaking of wheat berry grinding, it makes it fine enough to make a good tasty bread, etc., but you have to have the grinder part adjusted real tight at it's finest setting. Trying to turn this by hand is not going to work for long because the item is just not built strong enough for that much torque. Whatever metal frame is under that plastic casing just starts twisting. With the motor it works, even though the motor is not a precision fit and wobbles a bit. Doesn't seem to cause any harm but I think it would last longer if things were more precise. If you are a prepper and just want something mechanical you can run with a solar system, this will do the trick. Holds 2 cups and takes less than 10 minutes. I don't know of another product in this price range that will do as good. If you want a tip, spend the extra dough and get the metal grinder that works with the motor. Check the model #'s, the smaller metal one doesn't. READ CAREFULLY before ordering, like I should have.

Works great... Good customer service
The media could not be loaded. Definitely takes longer then the bigger ones out there but if the power goes out I have a way to grind my coffee and my flour. I bought the motor that attaches and that speeds things up. I originally had the motor jam up but it was night from an Amish store and may had already been damaged I didn't have receipt but called company and they repaired it and sent it back even though I thought I followed the instructions wrong on how to get it returned to me. They were helpful and kind
